Overall Satisfaction with ThousandEyes
We are using ThousandEyes to monitor a variety of things, from BGP routes path to SaaS application performance. ThousandEyes is reliable in detecting issues and often able to pin down the exact cause of an issue. It is integrated with most of the recent Cisco products from Meraki suit, Cat route, Cat9k switch and etc. which made deployment very flexible and easy.
- Monitoring SaaS application performance
- Pin down root cause of performance degradation
- Monitoring BGP routes/path
- Integration with Cisco networking product, particularly Cisco Meraki
- More integration into existing dashboards, e.g. Catalyst centre, rather than have to login to another web portal
- Desktop clients require specific version (and it is older version) of pcap
- Proactive alert even before user notice , means network operation team has more time to fix the problem
- Low deployment cost
- SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor (npm)
ThousandEyes has far more service endpoints available in the Internet and much easier to setup monitors
