Overall Satisfaction with TIBCO BusinessWorks

We use TIBCO BW as an integration tool between our different ERP's and legacy systems. It's being used across the whole organization.

Pros

  • It can be extended with plugin usage.
  • It's a very robust solution
  • It's a proven solution all over the globe
  • It follows the SOA principles

Cons

  • Very ugly UI to develop.
  • It is hard to learn for some people.
  • It is hard to get resources to excellent skills on TIBCO.
  • Very expensive licences
  • In my company they are moving to other solutions (open source mainly) because of expensive licenses.
  • Business users are always complaining that development is too slow. In general biz users don't like TIBCO

TIBCO is lacking of a centralized placed where the users can upload their "API's", mulesoft is wining here.

TIBCO is taking too much to time to get into the cloud solutions.

If you are orchestrating, integrating, routing or anything related with integration between systems that don't speak the same language then TIBCO BusinesWorks is the way to go.
