Use Cases and Deployment Scope

i use it to make fast and accurate pricing decisions being able to live link external data for commodity pricing and overlay it with my internal sequal and terra data servers.

easy calculated columns

making it easier to make pages that use the same data set have different filtering options instead of just one that makes everything move
more youtube videos
training in python and r for spotfire related querries

Alternatives Considered

Tableau Desktop

Spotfire is better for geo mapping and easier to maniuplate the data. i am not very good at Tableau anyways but that is what i have used in the past

it is most suited for internal and external data linking to keep data continuously flowing. it is less appropriate when you have small amount of data that is not organized. it should be able to make it so you can easily transition your data into a meaningful data. it is more suited for mapping as well.
