At company level Spotfire is used to create various dashboards to ease day to day activities.

We are integrating Spotfire with other components allowing to have real time data. this help a lot the management to make decisions in a fastly manner. The tool is powerfull enough to customize dashboard using python scripts and R allowing to process and transform data before exploitaition in spotfire
Mainly We are using Spotfire drivers to connect to various plate forms, starting with Oracle, Mysql, MariaDB, Microsoft Excel, flat files, ETL for data transformation to make data ready before injection in Dashboards and so on so forth. The impact we would like to see is to have Tibco flexible enough to connect to those platforms.
Spotfire is more suited for manufacturing industries with regards the huge data to process to make relevant decision that use big data for making decisions, besides this Spotfire supports more and excels at Availability & Scalability, Data Sources Connectivity and Deployment Options, which turn to be a game changer compared to other tools
