Overall Satisfaction with Tricentis Tosca

We use Tricentis Tosca for SAP test automation. Automation testing with tosca includes API testing, SAP GUI testing, AP Fiori testing and HANA DB validation. Also, the tests which are automated are ran during system refresh and AP upgrade testing which includes end to end testing from API call to SAP GUI validation to HANA Db validation.

As Tricentis Tosca has simple and elaborate design, it is very easy to learn and start scripting on the fly. it is very easy to use the tool with cross browser testing, some desktop based applications. Also, vision AI engine good to be used in some cases where normal engines can't support. Just need one improvement in excel engine to handle more amount of data to be validate.
Yes, definitely Tricentis Tosca has significantly reduced the testing efforts. I want to quote an example where around 50 tests used to take 2 weeks of testing time, however, once those tests are automated, the execution time is reduced to within 40 minutes. As manual testing effort is reduced significantly, that time can be utilized in more productive work and even improving the existent test automation framework/scripts.
As Tricentis Tosca is one of the first tools to implement the model based test automation, it is way ahead of the similar kind of tools. be it creating and innovating new strategies to overcome the existing hurdles faced during automation like, self healing feature is quite useful. Parallel testing and risk based approach is also commendable as compared to peers. Also, comprehensive documentation and learning material, which is definitely as plus.

I would like to recommend Tricentis Tosca to a colleague because it has well documented process and simple UI to be used even by a newbie. I like Dex feature of tosca as it distribute the tests with different agents and fast forward the overall execution time with instant results.
