Overall Satisfaction with Tricentis Tosca

We use Tosca extensively in our SAP ecosystem and Web application, especially during the migration from ECC to S/4HANA.Tosca supports: SAP GUI automation, SAP Fiori/UI5 automation, validation directly in the HANA database, and end-to-end process validation across Finance, Procurement, Sales, and HR modules. This helps ensure all business-critical transactions behave correctly after each migration cycle, transport, or release.

Pros

  • Exceptional SAP (ECC + S/4HANA + Fiori/UI5) and Web app Automation Support.
  • Model‑Based Testing = Very Low Maintenance.
  • True End‑to‑End Automation Across All Technologies.
  • API - easy to automate

Cons

  • Performance & Execution Speed for Large Test Suites.
  • Vision AI Is Powerful but Not Always Stable.
  • Tricentis Tosca has delivered significant ROI for our organization by accelerating testing cycles, improving quality coverage, and reducing the overall cost of regression testing. The tool enabled us to modernize our QA function from manual-heavy processes to an automated, scalable, and reusable testing ecosystem.
  • 60–70% Reduction in Regression Testing Effort.
I rated Tosca a 10/10 because it is one of the easiest enterprise automation tools to use across multiple technologies, especially for SAP, Web, API, Desktop, and database testing. Unlike script-based tools, Tosca’s model-based testing (MBT) approach makes test creation fast, simple, and stable—even for large, complex applications.
Tricentis Tosca has greatly reduced the amount of manual effort required to update and maintain tests by shifting our testing approach from script‑based maintenance to reusable, model‑based assets. This has resulted in faster updates, lower regression effort, and far fewer manual touchpoints whenever applications change.
When evaluating automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, UFT, Worksoft, and others, Tricentis Tosca stands out in four major areas: enterprise scale, SAP automation, maintenance effort, and end‑to‑end coverage.
