Overall Satisfaction with Unique Learning System
I use it as the main curriculum in my Structured Learning classroom. It is a differentiated curriculum that allows for my students with disabilities to learn. We use all aspects from math, reading, science, and social studies. I have Kindergarten through second graders that I work with and they are who benefit from the elementary band.
Pros
- Has an abundance of math and reading activities
- Spanish stories for the first book
- Has fun food related experiments
Cons
- Making all aspects in Spanish as well for bilingual students
- Giving more versions of the story in different levels-some are too many words and the one word is too short.
- Some of the stories are not student friendly where they do not show interest in the topic
- Supporting student progress
- Time saved on planning
It is easier to plan as it is all in one place. I do not have to worry about what I will be teaching as there is access to it all on Unique Learning System.
The story about the pioneer village and things in the past verses now had a big impact on my students because the visuals allowed them to make connections that stuck.
