Second Year Teacher Review

I currently use Unique Learning System in my SDC core classes at the high school level. We use this to as a way to provide lower level read, writing, and math to our students who are performing below grade level. All of our student are at different levels, so this program has the ability to differentiate work based on my student's needs and performance level. As well as give me a picture of their current levels so I can inform parents and district of present levels.

I like that all the units are available all the time so I am able to work for the future during vacations, especially during summer break. It allows me to save time during the school year, where I spend more time writing IEPs, progress monitor, deal with behaviors, and other aspects that come with teaching students with special needs.

The biggest significance Unique Learning System gives is the ability to show progression through similar assessments taken throughout a students educational career in our district. By the time students get to high school, I like to show parents a full picture of their students growth, and this product does that with helpful printouts in language that parents can understand.
