Overall Satisfaction with Unique Learning System
I use Unique Learning System with my middle school ESE access students. There are many useful pieces that I incorporate into my daily teaching. However, I have to use the middle school material when my 6-8 students are more like a 1st-2nd grade level so much of the material is difficult for them. I love the visuals that are provided with the lessons. I also wish the content was more relatable to every day life.
Pros
- provides visuals
- provides multi-sensory material
- breaks down material into different levels
Cons
- navigating the site can be difficult at times
- my students can not independently interact with the materials
- It definitely helps with IEP writing and targets goals
- time saved on planning is a plus
- data tracking is useful
It simplifies mu planning for daily instruction. However, I need to supplement because much of the material is too difficult for my students.
An instance of when Unique Learning System had a significant impact in the classroom is when my students learned how to access the QR code and take their pre-post tests for each unit.
