Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows

We are a managed service provider who supplies backup solutions for our clients. All of our client's require daily backups to maintain data security. Having a reliable backup solution is imperative. We install Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows for our clients who need backup replication and for some of our smaller clients with older systems as it is very reliable and cheaper than most solutions.

Pros

  • Backup whole systems
  • Replication from one machine to another
  • Data restores

Cons

  • An easier interface to navigate, sometimes it can take a while to find what your looking for in settings
  • It could be made easier to update from older versions to the current version, possibly in the client would help
  • Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows is easy to bill for, we generally add a small markup to our clients from the bill we receive from Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows
  • Customers feel secure in the event of a disaster that their data is safe. For most clients this is apparent when they accidentally delete a file or folder and we can immediately do a file level restore
Overall, Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows is a great backup solution and supplies extremely useful tools to configure backups to suite our needs and our clients requirements. I have only taken some points off as the user interface could be easier to navigate when configuring backups and the ability to update Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows from within the software would be appreciated.
Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows works better against most backup solutions in terms of reliability and cost, which makes it attractive for us and our clients. Our biggest reason for choosing Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows over other solutions is the replication feature, this is crucial to maintain our RTO's in the event of a disaster for our clients.

Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows is an extremely versatile backup software so it can be used in a variety of different ways. We have it running on some user machines that require it as the user deals with sensitive data that cannot be lost and Windows based servers ranging from server 2012 to 2025.
