Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup for AWS

I am a new AWS user and I need a reliable product to backup and protect my AWS content securely. I also required the product to have easy-to-follow documentation so I can obtain support easily.
  • Easy to use
  • Easy to maintain
  • User interface updates
  • Positive - Gave me the confidence my data is backed up in case of accidental deletions, i.e. greater availability
  • Positive - It is priced fairly against competitors
I am still learning more about the product capabilities.
It is more stable and easy to use.

The software is useful for those admins who want to 'set and forget' backups once they start running.

Using Veeam Backup for AWS

1 - The need to understand AWS and which operations require to be backed up. For Veeam, the understanding of how the product works and knowledge of the product configuration.
  • Ability to backup crucial business buckets
  • Ensure the recovery can be tested easily
  • 24x7 support for addressing issues
  • Restore to other platforms such as Microsoft Azure
It has worked well so far and there have been no failed backups or restorations. Overall the product performs well but this might be because we only use AWS buckets and there is not much complexity/trivial requirements.
