Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup for AWS

We use the product to backup production EC2 environments in AWS. It's used both internally and for end customer services.

Pros

  • Backs up EC2 and RDS
  • Cheap
  • Single platform

Cons

  • Lots of different versions of the backup product can be confusing
  • Requires very little admin
  • Saves time and money
Providing the backup job has ran successfully then the data is always recoverable.
AWS's own backup tool is okay, but has basic features in comparison to Veeam.
