Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Veeam Backup for MS365 to backup three separate office tenants. We backup email, one drive, teams, and SharePoint data.

Pros and Cons

Backup and restore of emails.
Backup and restore of OneDrive.
Backup and restore of Teams.

Connecting to storage could be easier, but it's not difficult.

Return on Investment

Enabled restore of critical email that was deleted.

Veeam for Microsoft Office 365 Needs Assessment

Microsoft only promises geolocations, not backup. Losing critical email accidentally or maliciously would be a problem for us.

Usability

Simple to install and configure. Easy to check, great notifications.

We do not use this feature.

Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 Restore Flexibility

This has been a great asset. We can restore the mailbox as it is or back it up to PST and archive it in case we need it in the future.

Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 Favorite Features

I sleep well knowing I can restore 0365 data. We will be doing some domain migrations and I'll sleep well knowing I can restore if things don't go as well as we expect.

Support has been slow, to be honest. When I do get support often it's in the form of being sent a KB article and they aren't always relevant. Ultimately everything gets resolved it just takes more back and forth than it should.
