Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365
We use Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 to backup and safeguard our Office 365 email and files. All of our Office 365 email accounts and OneDrive files are being backed up to our local Storage Area Network devices. Since we are a medical practice, email and file security are very important and Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 gives us the security we need to protect our information.
- Backs up Office 365 email accounts.
- Has multiple retention points to prevent accidental data loss.
- Nothing major. Cosmetic improvements, and maybe a little more control and options in the setup screens.
- Inexpensive solution for email and file data security.
- Multiple recovery points is critical.
Once we switched to Office 365 I realized we had no other way to securely back up our emails. Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 provided us with that solution and fit within our budget. Excellent product, excellent support, and excellent security for our data. Highly recommended to anyone using Office 365.
The loss of data is critical in our industry. Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 gives us multiple retention points and multiple storage locations so we have complete data security. We have had to restore missing emails and files and it was so easy to do. We had simple choices of which files or email version we wanted to restore. So easy.
Being able to restore files to other locations is critical and allows you to preview the recovered file while still having access to the current file. We have had to recover an older version of a file to retrieve data from it to update the current version of the file so we didn't lose the data that was missing from the current file but stored in the older version.
Simple and easy to install, setup and configure. Anyone with even basic skills should be able to accomplish the install and configuration. Once it is installed and running, there is almost no maintenance required. Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 is so easy to use when you need to find an older version of a file or email and recover it.
Since we already used Veeam Backup and Replication, it was a natural and easy choice to add Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 to our backup solution. We researched online several other similar products but didn't feel the need to actually set them up to see that we would be happy with Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365.

Using Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365
1 - Our IT administrator manages the Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 backups for all of our users. It was very easy to setup and manage and the backups have been very useful in allowing us to recover some lost emails. Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 has been very beneficial to us and we are so happy that we started using it.
1 - Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 is very easy to use, but we only allow our IT administrator to manage the Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 system since on the IT administrator has access to the server that the Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 is running on. It's easy enough to use that almost anyone could be trained to use it.
- Preventing lost email, contacts and appointments by keeping copies of everything.
- Versioning allows us to have access to data at a certain point in time which is very useful
- The security of knowing everything is being backed up.

- Setting up the back repository was very simple.
- Adding users to the backup and excluding certain things from backups was easy to do.
- Restoring a email, contact or appointment was simple and gave me the option of the point in time I wanted to restore it from.
- Nothing was really cumbersome.
- The initial setup was a little technical and probably would give some non technical users headaches, but I think anyone with IT experience could handle it ok.
Upgrading Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365
Yes - The upgrade process is so easy. I choose upgrade from the main menu and it checks for any new versions, then I just click upgrade and click ok a few times and it upgrades itself. It couldn't be much easier. I have it set to email me when new versions are available and then I am able to upgrade my install within a few minutes.
- They keep making improvements and repairing bugs, so that's the major thing.
- More storage repository options are added all the time.
- Some new features that I probably won't use but that will benefit others.
