Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup & Replication
Veeam B&R is a great tool for use in any virtual environment that needs to be backed up.
- Easy to install and use.
- Intuitive UI.
- Good support for NAS backups.
- Tape support!
- Only available on Windows.
- Doesn’t support non-snapshot based backups on ESXI.
- No web interface.
- Has helped restore critical VMs fast!
- Helps us keep our backup on disk and tape.
- Great value compared to other solutions.
All my ESXI VMs are protected which is what I intended from the start.
We have not used anything [but] local storage for backups.
We haven’t used any of the extended data verification tools but we do cycle the tape backups and Veeam seems to handle it well.
Veeam worked much better than the other products I tested, Naviko and Bru server.
