Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup & Replication

we use Veeam Backup & Replication for our own backup needs.
  • Virtualized workloads
  • Endpoints and physical servers running Windows & Linux
  • Cloud-hosted VMs within AWS or Azure
  • In addition to back up, we also replicate some of these workloads
  • None of the above
  • Utilizing backup copies for secondary purposes via DataLabs
  • Very easy to use interface.
  • Easy management of backups, restores and replication.
  • A very strong resiliency.
  • Irreproachable support and a very good knowledge base.
  • More explanation in the use of tape drives and NAS.
We have 6 virtual machines and 1 physical - for the moment the organization where I work does not use Veeam. I built this platform to show them what Veeam can do. In my old companies, I managed up to 5 esxi with 150 vms with replication, copies of backup jobs..
  • Positive impact because when we did not need we were able very quickly to restart vms which had spat and it has never been too felt, vis-à-vis our users.
Today Veeam is the most successful backup product I know of (with the most options in terms of use and reporting), and I have worked on arcserve backup, Avamar, Altaro and Hycu.
We don't use them yet, but most of our clients are in the medical world, and I don't know if the cloud appeals to them more than that.
We use NAS for backup storage, because of their flexibility in storage management, performance (thanks to the ssd or nvme cache) and their low cost.
Business resumption thanks to replications, product modularity.
