Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Data Platform
Veeam Back & Replication is our enterprise-wide backup product. We use it to backup all of our production servers, running Windows and Linux. We also use it to backup Oracle and SQL Databases and a number of other applications that are critical to our organization's needs. Both locally and at our remote sites. We have recently implemented Cloud storage in which the ability to do so was included within our current pricing model

- Log reporting can be clunky, should be available for each job via the job
- Reporting is an additional feature (Veeam One) backup reporting overview should be visible within VB&R
- Endpoints and physical servers running Windows & Linux
- Enterprise applications such as Oracle or SAP HANA
- Cloud-hosted VMs within AWS or Azure
- In addition to back up, we also replicate some of these workloads
- Application-centric recovery using Veeam Explorers (for Exchange, SQL, Sharepoint, etc)
- Capacity Tier to store data within object storage for longer term retention
- License portability as your environment needs change
- Automating test restores to validate recoverability
- “Instant” recovery or portability between platforms (physical > virtual > cloud-hosted)

We have recently implemented our cloud functionality and will be looking to expand this to more devices in the coming weeks/months Overall setup was easy to do, however, on Blob storage having to use scale-out repositories rather than a standard copy over off a job seems an overly complicated and unnecessary way to do it
File share backup solution is quick/simple however rarely used since we have implemented other tools such as shadow copies
