Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Data Platform
We had Tivoli backup solution prior to veeam which was completed tape based solution and once we started using veeam administrators task has been reduced a lot. We are using Nas devices to take backups and syncing it to different locations for fail over.So far the experience has been fab compare with Tivoli
- Virtualized workloads
- Cloud-hosted VMs within AWS or Azure
- Endpoints and physical servers running Windows & Linux
- Enterprise UNIX servers running Solaris & IBM AIX
- Application-centric recovery using Veeam Explorers (for Exchange, SQL, Sharepoint, etc)
- Automating test restores to validate recoverability
- “Instant” recovery or portability between platforms (physical > virtual > cloud-hosted)
- Application-centric recovery using Veeam Explorers (for Exchange, SQL, Sharepoint, etc)
- Easy of taking backups
- Restore is pretty simple for both windows and linux
- The performance is back /restore is pretty quick
- It has to improve linux restores both file and vm
- IBM i back ups are not possible at this moment
- Backups for VMware is ultimate but for Nutanix needs improvement

Yes
Did implementation of Veeam Data Platform go as expected?
Yes
Would you buy Veeam Data Platform again?
Yes
We are using this solution for around 2000+ virtuals and yes initially we didn't expected but due to product performance we have extended this to Nutanix as well
- It's positive impact
- We are planning for self-service for backup and restore
- Its meeting our requirements
As i informed earlier we had IBM Tivoli Tape based backup solution which was typical and tough tobe administer , but veeam is quite easy to use and implement
At this moment we have not extended this to Cloud as we are still using cloud native back up solution and hence I can rate this point
We are not using this solution for NAS/Fileshare hence cannot answer this
