Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Data Platform
In our organization, we use Veeam Data Platform to protect our valuable information through data security, data backup, and data freedom. The platform delivers innovative data resiliency built upon three foundational pillars: Data Security, Secure Backup, and Secure Recovery. Veeam gives us confidence in todays risky world of data breaches, malware etc.
- Virtualized workloads
- Endpoints and physical servers running Windows & Linux
- Cloud-hosted VMs within AWS or Azure
- NAS filers
- Application-centric recovery using Veeam Explorers (for Exchange, SQL, Sharepoint, etc)
- Utilizing backup copies for secondary purposes via DataLabs

- Recovering Active Directory data in the attribute level
- Tiered backups to disk, cloud and tape

Currently there are about 200 VM's and few physical servers. We have been using Veeam Data Platform for many years and during that time number of VM's has grown as new services have been added, but so far we have been able to cut down on number of licenses.

- Restoring users data to recover worktime in lost files and data
Our old backup product was comlex to use and was not reliable. We tried Veeam Data Platform in a trial and immidiately found that it is easy to use, realiable and fast. I remember vividly how Veeam Data Platform explained the reason why some backups were failing so I could remedy the situation. Our old product had no such features.
So far our company has mostly stayed in on premise workloads. We did try our Office 365 backups with Veeam Data Platform, and they worked well, but decided to go in different direction with that. I see no reason why we couldn't continue using Veeam Data Platform with cloud workloads as our company transitions moro to the cloud.
Most of our file-shares are on VM's.
