Overall Satisfaction with Vertex AI

We do a lot of image generation for our various areas of marketing (website, social media, graphics for conferences/booth giveaways), and we love using Vertex AI's image editor. We've used other AI image generators in the past (such as Microsoft's and Chat GPT's), but we've found Vertex to be a lot more accurate with less amount of mistakes.

Pros

  • Image Editing (especially with minute details)
  • Retained Image Crispness around edges of AI's additions
  • Amount of menu options Google provides in it's UI
  • Google's training modules on Vertex is actually really helpful

Cons

  • It's expensive to use. The cost could be a bit lower for tokens.
  • The Vertex AI Search isn't bulletproof and sometimes is wrong
  • To really master their UI, it does take some training. There's a lot of options.
  • It has helped speed up the process of getting the exact image we need for our various marketing initiatives.
  • Images are stored in our Google Cloud, which we use in our business anyways (makes it super easy to find/share)
  • Google's security is always top notch. Even though it's just images, we still need the confidentiality of our creations.
Google is always top notch with their security and user interface performance. We use Google's entire suite in our business anyways, so using Vertex became second nature very quickly. I will say, though, that Google does need to come down on the price somewhat with their token allocation. Also, their UI is very robust, so it does require some time for training to really master it.
Vertex is incredibly robust, with a lot of options to learn and choose from. We had to spend a decent amount of time learning through their tutorials. Thankfully, Google's tutorials make it easy to learn about the multitude of options, allowing us to get more ideas on how to get faster and creative with their tools.
Out the gate, Vertex just seemed to be more accurate on command with our prompts. We spent less time versus other platforms getting exactly what we wanted. Google's UI is way more robust, too, with how you can configure the exact settings you want when doing image generation. The other platforms do a decent job, but we've gravitated more towards using Vertex now.

Vertex AI seems to be a lot more accurate with image editing versus other competitors (including free one). We do a lot of image creation, especially of dogs in very certain scenarios. We use Adobe Stock to get us started, but many times we need some very specific edits done to the image. We've found Vertex can produce those with a lot more precision than other AI image generators.
