Overall Satisfaction with vSphere

We use vSphere to collectively manage our ESXi servers, virtual desktops, and resources tied to our virtual desktop infrastructure. vSphere allows our organization to manage these resources fully without the need to use other applications as well. We have complete oversight of our virtual desktop infrastructure which in turn has allowed us to deliver a solution that benefits the organization and users.
  • Managing machines.
  • Snapshots
  • Cloning
  • Storage
  • Missing desktops.
  • Quicker provisioning.
  • Increased business performance.
  • Scalablility
  • Hardware costs.
Always had quick support from VMware when required. The support from knowledge articles and other channels has been very good.

Did implementation of VMware vSphere go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy VMware vSphere again?

Yes

The usability of vSphere is easy and clean. Menus and GUI's are clean and easily navigatable. You are able to find everything you need from basic configuration to advanced menus and options required.
vSphere is well suited when you have to deliver a solution that is going to require a vast number of virtual machines. It allows for quick provisioning of machines that can aid less downtime or business impact.

It is not that well suited if you are only going to be using a small number of ESXi servers or a small virtual infrastructure. It's overkill in that kind of scenario.
