Overall Satisfaction with WatchGuard Network Security
We use WatchGuard Network Security fireboxes (M590 x4) at both of our locations and have been for the last 12-15 years at this organization. We also use WatchGuard Network Security access points throughout both sites for secure wireless networking. The WatchGuard Network Security cloud makes managing all of this very easy and seamless.
Pros
- Easy to configure via WatchGuard Network Security cloud vs on prem
- WatchGuard Network Security firebox has kept us intruder free for the past 12 years
- Authpoint gives our work stations 2FA ability for even more protection
Cons
- the old policy manager was a little aggravating when it would get locked up by a user sometimes
- ease of managing the network saves time/better utilize time elsewhere
- haven't had to use cyber security insurance since going WatchGuard Network Security.
we used to use JSCM Group ([...]), but, in our experience, they are horrible now and i refuse to get anymore quotes from them for WatchGuard stuff. i've been using blue ally and they are great
The cloud is plenty easy enough to navigate and everything is there in one place. We are still using the local policy on the WatchGuard system manager, i am looking forward to migrating that to the cloud this year.
We didn't have wifi before we added WatchGuard Network Security APs. We have also trusted WatchGuard Network Security as our primary firewall vendor for the past 11 years i've been on this job.
