Overall Satisfaction with Yardi Senior Living
Yardi Senior Living handles just about every aspect of day-to-day operations in our premium retirement homes. All accounting, resident management, sales, health records, and soon electronic prescriptions requirements are addressed with this software. It also handles the reporting duties for all the above-mentioned areas.
- Accounting.
- Billing.
- Electronic health records.
- Yardi does have a tendency to release new features a bit early. I understand the drive to deliver what customers are asking for, but in some cases, further testing before release would be beneficial.
- Yardi used to allow clients to have access to a remote desktop, which came in very handy to maintain the environment and develop new reports. They replaced this with web based tools that don't work as well.
- Yardi does not handle any time sheet or payroll functions. It's the main shortcoming for our needs. As a result we have leveraged other software for this.
- Yardi license costs are reasonable for the functionality of the software.
- There can be a steep learning curve for many Yardi products.
- Upgrades tend to generate a lot of end user issues despite extensive testing.
I haven't used it PointClickCare directly, but I'm told by others in the industry that it's more suited to Long Term Care. Yardi Senior Living works better for retirement residences with assisted and independent living.
