Overall Satisfaction with Yubico YubiKeys
Used for MFA in SSO for web apps.
- Usage is simple, once trained
- Durable
- Small, portable size
- More-or-less reliable
- Integration with VPN could be better-- login requires user, password for step one, then password + Yubikey for step two. Why make me enter the password twice?
- Harder to steal/break/hijack than SMS
- Small means it's easier to carry everywhere and not lose
- Never needs charging like a phone-app-based OTP would need
- Reducing risk of unauthorized access
Unknown. I don't have the figures before or after.
Some annoyance and complaints at first, but people have gotten used to it.
Yubico YubiKeys seem more convenient. cryptocard might be slightly more secure because a pin or challenge is needed on each access.
