Overall Satisfaction with Zix Email Encryption (ZixEncrypt)

We currently use Zix for all of or employees. We send out data that needs to be secured a good bit and Zix by far was the easiest way to get this done. End users get the ability to send encrypted or unencrypted using the ZixSelect buttons. My favorite feature is if an attachment has any specific data deemed sensitive (by your preset input) the attachment will automatically encrypt. This allows full confidence in attachments being sent correctly.

Pros

  • Love the ZixSelect buttons for Outlook. Its a plugin you install that gives users the ability to send email encrypted or unencrypted.
  • Automatically sends attachments encrypted using predetermined rules.

Cons

  • Improve on the Zix portal experience for the email receiver.
  • We feel assured the emailed documents are getting to their destination safely.
  • Sometimes the recipient of the email has trouble logging into the portal to retrieve email. This is only an issue when the server you send to does not have TLS enabled. Most servers do, though.
Best suited for documents that must be safely sent. The entire encryption is unbelievably simple. No issues with our end users.

Using Zix Email Encryption (ZixEncrypt)

The ZixSelect buttons really make it simple.

Julian, There are several features in the portal that can make logging in easier. We recently added support for OAuth authentication with both Google Suite (business gmail) and Microsoft. With OAuth users can use their existing Google or Microsoft account credentials to login. We provide a Remember Me feature that can be enabled so that the user can have their password remember in their browser for immediate access to their emails. Also, if you are sending to customers or partners that already have a login to your website you can use Single Sign-On with SAML so that they login with credentials they already have with you. You can have any of these features turned on by contact Zix. Regards, Dena
