Overall Satisfaction with ZoomInfo

ZoomInfo is being used primarily with our account executives as well as the marketing department. We use it as a market intel tool to begin a business or personnel profile.Typically (and ideally) we use advanced search parameters to do location-based searches for industry-specific organizations that fit a profile of a "most placable candidate." ZoomInfo is a great starting point for list generation for both client and candidate leads. Where the information on ZoomInfo becomes crucial is in the taxonomy of professionals within companies, and within certain titles across companies.
  • Accurately provides information on the corporate structure within a company, and allows filtering within specified parameters
  • Comprehensive lists of companies within specific industries and sub-industries
  • A snapshot profile of almost any company found on ZoomInfo
  • One of the challenges we face in using this software is in the accuracy of the information supplied. A certain company may have gone bankrupt, gone through M&A, or changed its name. But the original information may still be coming up within a certain list, taking extra time and effort to fact-check these items
  • The personnel may also have moved on to other companies or have retired. But because of the lack of real-time updating, duplicate records may be found for individuals across different companies
  • ZoomInfo allows us to gather contact information quickly to give us a snapshot of companies and individuals within these organizations.
  • Because of this, we can easily identify potential leads more efficiently.
With the advent of LinkedIn and Data.com, most of the information provided on ZoomInfo can be found using a combination of various other databases. For example, LinkedIn may provide more accurate up-to-the-minute data on particular individuals, or companies, including movement, and a platform to connect to potential leads. Data.com may also provide a (free) source of list generation for both company and individual professionals. Where ZoomInfo proves valuable is in the efficiency and readiness of this information in one place.

Using ZoomInfo

With the combined resources of crowdsorced info on both data.com as well as the immediacy of info on LinkedIn, as well as intel on Hoovers, information provided on ZoomInfo is more readily available if you have the time to invest in looking for it. However, at the pace we do business, having a "one stop shop" for information is very convenient. On efficiency alone, ZoomInfo is worth the price of subscription considering our business model.
