Overall Satisfaction with Zscaler Internet Access

ZIA is our primary Internet/perimeter firewall. It replaced four Palo Alto 5050 firewalls, eliminated dependency on our HQ data center, and allowed us to dispense with MTIPS. It has provided a uniform security solution for on-site, remote, and mobile device users.

Pros

Cons

  • Need to be able to delete defined Locations as the organization evolves
  • Need to be able to define a Location as a subnet and not just an individual IP address
  • Need to coordinate categorization between Cloud Applications and URL categories
  • Allowed us to eliminate HQ data center dependency for Internet access.
  • Allowed us to replace costly MTIPS solution for Internet security
For an exceptionally capable application, the ZIA portal manages to make it largely possible to configure intelligently, assuming one actually knows what one is doing.
