Overall Satisfaction with Zscaler Internet Access

We use Zscaler Internet Access(ZIA) by utilizing all of DLP, saas dlp, URL filtering, cloud apps, sandbox, and SSL inspection. We also route some of our server workload to ZIA policies. Some of the business problem is users not understanding why they can't go to certain sites and being blocked. The scope of the use case is to protect the end users from going to malicious sites and for sensitive data not to be compromised.

Pros

Cons

  • advanced threat protection can't seem to be made granular as it is a global policy. it should have the ability to grant granular policy.
  • I would like to see more of the expiration time in other file/url policies similar to cloud app.
  • It has allow our sales team folks to efficiently work without having to worry about malicious threats. they know they are safe from phishing sites because of Zscaler Internet Access
I think there's always room for improvement. Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) is good, but sometimes it creates a lot of work for administrator to troubleshoot and figure out.

Zscaler Internet Access is definitely suited not only for on prem users, but for remote users/road warriors... where traditional firewall does not meet the criteria. SSL inspection plays a big important factor of inspecting traffic. Creating risk based cloud pp policies of browser isolation, block, or caution is a very good way to decrease attack surface. I don't see where it could be less appropriate.
