(1-5 of 5)Great for free events, but they hold funds for paid tickets
- Creating landing pages that stand out and are trusted.
- Communicating with attendees pre and post event.
- The integration with Zoom is good, though there were some recent changes that have confused our attendees on our weekly virtual show.
- Offering other options for merchant processing--Stripe, PayPal, Square, etc.
- Hard to repurpose the weekly events for replay viewing. Have to copy the event and replace the online link with the video link to Youtube.
Not as good for paid events anymore since they changed their payout policy.
- Represents our brand well. Like that there is an organizer profile.
- Easy to use. Interface is very intuitive.
- I like how it renders the images when shared on social.
- Eventbrite is still holding our funds from 2019 for an event that was postponed.
- My money is not working for me when it is sitting with Eventbrite. They only pay out a few weeks after an event. If you are producing an event where you have upfront costs, you have to pay all of those costs using funds other than ticket sales. Eventbrite does not offer any interest on the money they are holding, which in my case is a six-month lead time from start of ticket sales to end of event.
- Registration for our free weekly virtual show
- Ticketing sales for our in-person events
- Promotions of previous event revordings
- Virtual show hosting for free

I'm not as concerned about price because we pass on fees to our ticket buyers. Our ticket agerages are higher than most events, with roughly $500 per ticket. Eventbrite was able to provide a contract to cap the fees, which is nice and expected with high ticket costs like ours.
I haven't had to ask for any help, but I am looking at streamlining the process for registration and promotions of our weekly shows.
I was skeptical at first when an Eventbrite commercial manager reached out to me to set up a zoom meeting. She was very personable and clearly understood my situation. I was delighted to hear they had changed their policy to allow up to 80% advance payments, with weekly payouts. They sent a new agreement which I was happy to sign. Hopeful that we can continue on schedule with our in-person meetings in spring 2022. Counting on Eventbrite for our main revenue stream. For now, focused on setting up sponsors.
I love how URL's from Eventbrite render in social media. Very clear hero images with easy one click access to registration pages. Most importantly, I think it's one of the most trusted ticketing platforms available.
- Setting up events
- App integrations with Zoom, MailChimp and Whova
- I love how the background automatically takes the color scheme from our hero/brand images
- Setting up notification emails after a ticket is purchased
- Setting up replays of events. We have weekly shows and I want to have registration for attendees so we can keep them in the loop. We record every show and post it on YouTube. Can't keep the original link to the Zoom recording because of storage, and the vent on Zoom ended. Was using Eventbrite to promote the replays for a few months but it was fairly time consuming. Would be great if I could repurpose an event that ended as a replay instead of having to copy the event and set it up with the link to the video on YouTube.
- Viewing attendee lists in one screen
They have 2 apps, one for organizers and one for attendees. Both are exceptionally easy to use. The organizer app has dashboard reporting optimized for mobile so I can monitor sales from anywhere.
Meets all Political Event Needs
- Simple, elegant, clean UI
- Guest list admin is everything we want without excess, cruft
- System is cloud based thus requires no excess integration, admin beyond a login, link
- Affordable rates for top of class workflow
- Universally known, no friction or fear generated
- Branding is custom and sufficient to balance ours and Eventbrite's
- Complex guestlist sort features to give more fine priority
- Recognization of VIP registrants
- Host and user profiles so records can be touted if desired
- Discounts for nonprofits and charitable organizations
- Integrations preferably without Zapier
- Explicit related, recommended event controls
A less appropriate situation is an event that is huge in complexity with a custom workflow and processing which Eventbrite's not built to handle in-house such as multi-step registration, multiple item and category all-select options during registration, multi-event type (not just physical or ticket but virtual goods tracking), more HootSuite-like social media refinery, etc.
- Public open registration
- Confidence-inspiring attribution to our org even when EventBrite hosted, branded
- Email notifications finely configurable
- All events for years have flawless registration
- Our supporters, attendees, staff, all report zero friction for event management
- All payments transact properly, no need for customer service tickets
- Branding, user management, budget demands are just enough for us to not be overwhelmed at the service levels
- No injury to thru assisting our core brand and mission
- Fundraising event for an endorsed candidate
- Promotion event for a young professionals engagement event
- Get out the vote events
- Annual Event-wide Gala
- Partner's events, namely one without significant tech platforms
- See attendee history over years; fascinating patterns detected
- Young Professionals particularly like the social nature of seeing each other
- Multiple user allows us to run event construction across time zones and schedules
- Historical record kept in their cloud allows us to change website vendors without losing, migrating event history; major victory
- Data mine the historical record
- Market to long-ago members who disengaged
- Reach out to most loyal members about event development
- Brand it thoroughly as to make it more akin to our digital experience
- Product Usability
- Implemented in-house
- Simplifying our writing so it fits into the text field; less is more though
- Which users to give which roles, but again less is more
- Branding let-ups so we act within EventBrite boundaries; mostly convincing people the pages are official events
- Event configuration
- Event viewing
- Admin user roles
- Registering new admins and new registrants
- Multi-step event registration
- Post-registration processing
- Virtual goods checkout integration
EventBrite is the best option for our team!
- Register participants for an event.
- Send notifications, reminders, and messages to attendees.
- Mobile check-in - Creates bar-code scanning for attendees to check-in.
- Syncs with other event platforms (like Sched).
- Track data and collect custom information (ranging from the number of attendees all the way to feedback).
- Integration with social media - Helps with communication to social media platforms.
- Creates nametags.
- It offers a great help center.
- Eventbrite just streamlines so many processes.
- The app has limitations compared to the website, but it is still functional and offers many features.
- I think Eventbrite could use some more customization features (especially in email templates on the website).
- Although not a con necessary, just be aware that Eventbrite will take a percentage from each ticket if it's a paid event. This is something to consider if cost/profit is a priority.
- Organizing events where attendees need to pre-register.
- If being able to streamline communication to register attendees is needed.
- If you need or want to analyze data, attendance, etc. following the event.
- Creating an event that is not free, and you need a platform for managing.
Eventbrite may not be suited for events that are on a budget and not free to attendees, as Eventbrite earns a percentage off of each participant. One specific person needs to be tasked as the point-person for Eventbrite, too, so if you do not have the capability of assigning this task (short on volunteers, hosts, etc.), it may be difficult to manage if you are already short-staffed.
- Streamlined our registration process.
- Produced incredible data metrics that we can evaluate and keep track of.
- Overall, I just helped our organization from an event planning perspective - something we weren't naturally familiar with.
- Manage events.
- Register participants.
- Analyze data.
Easy to Use Event Management Tool
- It allows us to obtain information about event attendees, which helps in providing a great guest experience.
- It gives us a perspective number of attendees, which is important when determining how many tour guides to assign to a group for a day.
- It allows us to keep track of any special tours we may have.
- I think that the embedding feature needs to be bettered.
- I would like if the analytics were a bit better.
- We can't point to numbers as we don't have any direct correlation, but it is integral to organizing our tours, which act as the first point of contact with prospective students and are important to our recruiting efforts.
Eventbrite Review by Paul Bruce in Raleigh
- Very easy to use and setup.
- Great integration with Facebook.
- Looks very professional and clean.
- Fees they charge for processing orders is a little too high...actually deterred some of our clients from using the tool.
- Clean and professional interface.
- Allowed the small businesses we worked with to promote and track their special events.
- Overall creation of Events is very simple, and it looks great when complete.
- None that I can think of...
