(1-25 of 29)The ideal source for your TranslationMemory
- Jumping between segments based on segment status.
- Sharing platform.
- Clear, essential interface with no unnecessary commands.
- Suggest possible translations from TM during QA.
- Performing the QA can be time-consuming because you need to reload frequently.
- The projects overview homepage can be messy, especially when you have different pending projects for the same client.
- Extremely intuitive user interface
- Robust translation memory and term base tools
- Seamless transition between web-based and desktop editors
- The in-context preview feature can be erratic
- Easy to use for translators
- Easy to select TMs and TBs

This CAT will be your best friend!
- Terminology management
- Speeding-up work
- Facilitating collaboration
- Easily accessible filter option
- Customisation of the QA options might be improved, but I'm really nitpicking here...
- Display of matching TM data..
- Indication of repetitions and ability to specify as exception.
- Display of glossary terms.
- Easy-to-use search function.
- In the case of EN to JA translation, we enter text and then convert it to get the correct final text (word or phrase) which uses correct Chinese character(s), as there are often multiple Chinese characters with the same reading but different meanings. When those conversion options are displayed, it is usually possible to change our selection among them by hitting the Tab key, but in Memsource, hitting the Tab key makes us leave the text conversion and move to the source segment, so we must make sure to use arrow keys to choose the right conversion option when using Memsource.
- When there are tag elements used in the source text, the tags must exist in the target text of course, but the tag order also must be the same. The tags cannot be moved around in the segment, which causes problems in the case of the Japanese language, because the word order differs between EN and JA.
- In the Japanese language, Italics are basically not used, so there must be no texts between the tags which specify Italic font. But then the segment cannot be confirmed and the job status cannot be changed to "Complete".

I've personally been using Memsource for almost 3 years now. The learning curve was rather smooth and it has been a pleasant product to use. I'm finding myself constantly learning about various features it offers as i've gotten more and more familiar with it.
- Capacity to seamlessly store and build translation memories and term bases.
- Capacity to easily assign projects to various providers.
- Ease of use and friendly user interface.
- I'd love to see better filter options in the projects tab. When having 50-100 active projects it can be hard to find specifics.

Simply Highly Recommended
- Translation Memories to keep record of previous translation work
- Detailed analysis
- Machine translation engines
- Easy UI
- The ability to find/replace a certain word in translation memory or term base without having to export
- Unlimited machine translation characters for high volume jobs
- Segments with big content tend to lag sometimes, which forces me to do the translation offline (in Word) then copy/paste it into the segment. This is the most major point for me which I hope can be fixed soon.
Memsource: Your Translation Partner
- Supporting Multiple File Formats.
- Saving time by reusing translations.
- Quality Assurance Checks.
- When using Tamil Unicode, sometimes the letters are not shown properly and typing is also difficult.
- Offline translation (DOCX) is little confusing and difficult.
- Machine Translation for Tamil can be better.
Great project management and translation platform with some improvements in project database insertion to make
- Project Management
- Document Preview
- Translation Memory
- Term Base
- Project Progress

- Inserting information for the project, since you have to save beforehand to the creation of the project, since the information like the subject, name of the client, and subject area will not appear if you haven't inserted them earlier.
- Memsource layout and loading speed of its system.
It's very very very easy to use and good quality.

Memsource is a must
- Term base management
- Text filtering
- Tools for consistency across large projects
- Honestly, there's nothing. For every technical complaint I've had, I submitted a bug report on their website, and they were able to resolve them within hours to days. Their support is unbeatable.
- Nice interface
- Easy to use
- Complete functionalities
- Cloud-based accesibility
- Zero down-time
- When editing a translation and performing the search for a word or phrase, you need to use the browser F3 function, and if the item to be found is beyond the text currently displayed on the screen, you need to scroll down to load more text. This is the usual disadvantage of cloud-based CAT tools.
Translation Accurate and Easy
- Direct translations usually accurate to a rate of over 70%.
- Spelling checking.
- Quality control.
- Speed of response via cloud even when multiple users are online.
- Choice of dictionaries - ie from USA English to UK English- removing the "Z"s and inserting the "U"s (i.e. realize to realise and honor to honour, etc.
- Auto removal of duplications whilst translating by highlighting any that appear.
- Providing a bulk correct function - similar to the Find and Replace function in Excel!
Translator experience
- very good machine translation
- possibility to work both online and offline
- easy to work with, easy editing
- British English!!! Memsource knows what British spelling should be but MT offers US English and underlines the US spelling as wrong for British English.
- MT does not use termbase. MT yellows the expression that is in the TB but does not offer it in the translation, instead makes up its own translation (typically abbreviation) instead of inserting the TB word
- Localisation of numbers. On the continent we write the decimal coma but in English it is the decimal point. Can there be a button to convert such numbers easily?
- Fast and accurate target text substitution from translation memory
- Visualization of the original file at the bottom of the page
- Combination of several documents into one when translating
- Automatic saving of work progress
- Automatic text formatting
- Sometimes when I completed my work, the access to my Memsource account is blocked. It will be better to unblock it in this kind of situation
- Maybe add a progress line in percentage in Memsource editor. Сurrently I have to reload the main page in order to check my progress
- The machine translation should be available when needed without any restrictions
Memsource is a MacBook's best friend
- Translation memory in multiple dialects for localization
- Efficient organization of projects for each client
- Ability to use with various document/file formats
- Ability to divide term bases by client
- Ability to upload terms from a file into term base to use or update
- More user-friendly tag instructions for insertion or deletion
