Additional DetailsConfluent monthly bills are based upon resource consumption, i.e., you are only charged for the resources you use when you actually use them: Stream: Kafka clusters are billed for eCKUs/CKUs ($/hour), networking ($/GB), and storage ($/GB-hour). Connect: Use of connectors is billed based on throughput ($/GB) and a task base price ($/task/hour). Process: Use of stream processing with Confluent Cloud for Apache Flink is calculated based on CFUs ($/minute). Govern: Use of Stream Governance is billed based on environment ($/hour). Confluent storage and throughput is calculated in binary gigabytes (GB), where 1 GB is 2^30 bytes. This unit of measurement is also known as a gibibyte (GiB). Aiven is well suited for medium/big companies where the reliability for events coming in is imperative and choose to use Kafka but would like to avoid the most complex parts of the integration and instead have an easy setup. It is less suited in my opinion for smaller companies, mainly due to its pricing.

If you have a need to stream data, real time or segmented structured data then Confluent is a great platform to do so with. You won't run into packet transfer size limitations that other platforms have. Flexibility in on-prem, cloud, and managed cloud offerings makes it very flexible no matter how you choose to implement.

Skyvia is easy to use and set up automated backups. It was one of several tools that we vetted for this purpose – and had the most favorable pricing and integrations to suit our needs. We wanted to have multiple CRM instances backed up daily and allow non-technical team members to manage this, as well as restore them in times of need. Skyvia has allowed us to do this with ease.

Loved using Skyvia for our projects, it saved time, allowed us to reach the desired outcome quickly and was easy to maintain. When we first used it we weren't sure we would be able achieve the outcome desired but during the trial it was quickly obvious we would be able to achieve what we needed for data connection and reporting.

The support from the Confluent platform is great and satisfying. We have been working with Confluent for more than a year now. They sent out resident architects to help us set up Confluent cluster on our cloud and help us troubleshoot problems we have encountered. Overall, it has been a great experience working with the Confluent Platform.

For our use case it was very important that the technology we were working with fit into our Azure architecture, and met our data processing size requirements to stream data within certain SLAs. Confluent more than met our performance requirements and compared to the others scale options and cost to run it was more than financially viable as a platform solution to our global operations.

Compared to similar user-friendly data integration systems like Integrate.io, Stitch, or Azure, Skyvia still wins in the number of connectors and pricing policy. Skyvia is a tool for companies like ours, starving for simple but, at the same time, robust and cost-effective data transfer solutions. It doesn't require additional knowledge for implementation and usage because it's no code. We'd recommend Skyvia as the best solution for non-technical staff.

    • The core of our business lies in analyzing data from various sources, and while ETL itself is not our primary focus, it is a necessary process to achieve our goals. Thanks to Skyvia, we are able to streamline the ETL process at a reasonable price, allowing us to dedicate our efforts to data analysis without the burden of ETL complexities.
