"Xplenty is a simple-to-use ETL tool with a user-friendly UI/UX."

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Xplenty is an ETL platform that uses a point-and-click interface for data integration, preparation, and processing. It is incredibly adaptable, which allows us to meet our requirements. My favorite feature of XPlenty is that it is simple to use and doesn't require a technical background to connect systems. It is the only ETL solution that allowed us to extract data from a complex and highly nested non-SQL database and convert it into a tabular format for analysis purposes. We find it simple to follow the data flow with the application's drag-and-drop functionality and visual editor. It is simple to connect to third-party platforms and ensure that the process runs as intended with the slightest error.

Pros

  • Easy-to-use and user-friendly ETL tool.
  • Incredibly customizable.
  • Drag-and-drop UI for easy use.
  • Easy third-party platform integration.
  • Excellent customer service team.

Cons

  • It's not always easy to use.
  • Debugging can be challenging when error logs lack specificity.
  • Interaction between fields or packages is slow.

Xplenty is the glue that connects the data ocean

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We’re a large international company with thousands of different IT-systems. Both local and global systems are in use and they all are used differently and have different setups. Xplenty is in our company used to glue the systems together in that way we are able to integrate the data gathered from the systems.

Pros

  • Collecting data from different sources and making these available for BI tools or other IT systems.
  • Their support department is really helpful when you are facing issues. Sometimes they refer to their documentation and sometimes they can help you right away.
  • Generally I’m really happy with the ease of use. The software just does its job very well and we’re really getting a lot of value from it.

Cons

  • Sometimes you make a mistake in the setup and get an error message. I haven’t been able to identify what caused the error from the error message, so this part can be improved, but it is a minor detail in the greater picture.
  • If you have no experience or at least very little when it comes to development it can be hard to understand and get started using the software. We had this problem, but mostly because good developers are hard to find in these days.
  • In one of our division they have had troubles getting the connection to sales up and running properly, but so far I know it has been fixed by the support team.

Return on Investment

  • We wanted to have a better use of all our data and Xplenty has contributed to make this mission possible.
  • Having more data and more information on time makes it possible to make better decisions and in the end that contributes to more money.
  • We have accomplished our mission to centralize data and thereby forward information about performance from lots of different sources.
