Apify is a full-stack web scraping and automation platform that helps anyone get value from the web. At its core is Apify Store, a marketplace where developers build, publish, and monetize automation tools called Actors. Actors are serverless cloud programs that extract data, automate web tasks, and run AI agents. Developers build them using JavaScript, Python, or tools like Crawlee, Apify's open-source web scraping library. Build an Actor once, publish it to Store, and…

The Dexi Digital Commerce Intelligence Suite, now with the capabilities of the former Mozenda web scraping tool and service, can build product data feeds to push to various marketing channels such as Google Shopping, Doubleclick, search, email, retargeting, and affiliates. The smart part is the ability to apply competitor analysis directly within the feed, to ensure that the user's campaign strategy is both more insightful and dynamic.

I used other platforms such as n8n and make.com, and Apify seems more reliable because it is built for real developers. It gives much more independence than other platforms. Maybe in terms of storage and processing speed needs to be improvement for AI-generated content.
Astera ReportMiner is well suited for those who work with EMR Data or business operations data where different platforms may report on similar data but not everything is the same between the different systems and how they export their data. It works especially well when systems can't edit their exports so you need to clean up data a lot before they are combined into a single file. It is less appropriate a solution when you are trying to combine large data, let's say thousands of files and need some sort of platform to deduce analytic patterns out of it. This is more used for data preparedness rather than big data analysis. This may have changed with recent updates, however they do not do a good job of updating customers on new releases so keeping track of their developments is something worth doing if data management is an important part of your/your company's role.
The Mozenda platform is well suited to some specific scenarios that may work well for your organization. It is especially helpful for basic scraping of information from simple websites. If the information you need to obtain is clearly stated on a website, then Mozenda is a simple solution to capture that data quickly and easily.
I love how intuitive the interface is. Even without deep coding knowledge, I can set up workflows quickly. The ready‑made actors are extremely helpful and cover most of my use cases.
Apify makes it incredibly easy to automate repetitive web tasks. The platform is stable, the actors run smoothly, and the logs give me full visibility into every step.
Apify offers impressive flexibility — from custom actors to API integrations and scheduling options. It scales well even with large workloads, and the performance has been consistent.
ReportMiner's OCR accuracy is flawless to my experience. I use the program to pull values from check details, and have yet to find an error.
ReportMiner's interface is easy to learn. I never even got formal training on the program. I watched some YouTube videos and learned as I went.
ReportMiner training personnel is very knowledgeable and quick to respond. Anytime I ran into a problem I could not figure out on my own, they would get back with me within a half a day.
Action Items. Mozenda is broken down into a series of actions that can be performed on a page. Some actions take you to other pages. The action list, while short, provides a comprehensive set of tools for scraping just about any website (I haven't met one where it didn't work yet).
Error Handling. I've used some scraping tools that have virtually no error handling. Mozenda has great error handling; the software almost always pinpoints the exact action where the agent failed and why.
Speed. Mozenda is very fast at obtaining results. Other "bot" software can be slow and cumbersome but Mozenda plows through pages rapidly and accurately aggregates information.
XPath compatibility. One of the most powerful features of Mozenda is the integrated ability to use XPaths to get at the exact bits of information we're after on a particular website. Access to visible information is only limited by imagination.
Some actors are very expensive and offer limited value - $120 / month before event charges? That's insane. The monthly price also isn't listed in the main search screen, so you need to go in manually to each actor to ascertain how much it really costs
Some actors often break after a while and you need to start searching for new ones... but I guess that's the price for relying on 3rd party actors in your marketplace
The review/quality process isn't great to navigate when looking for a new tool.
Could provide some features to help with advanced analytics for big data. (i.e. larger data sets)
Too much clutter on their Youtube page, they should highlight the tutorials so they are easier to find for new users. Get rid of old tutorial video playlists so the organization is clean and up to date.
Have sales rep follow up with customers to offer product updates, new product releases, and do check ins to see if customers have suggestions for feature improvement.
It's the best because you can just load in a limited amount of money and limit your financial exposure to using a tool like this. so renewing isn't a big consideration... i know that i'm going to need the tool in the future and i'll load it with money accordingly when im ready.
The initial setup can be a bit overwhelming. There are so many options that can be confusing. But the documentation is very well put together and the schema are structured nicely. So, once you figure it out everything can fit seamlessly into existing workflow. No need for additional parsing or post production on raw data.
Apify does its own thing and delivers value based on its core features, but I still rate Apify as my number one platform for finding and using web scrapers. In terms of how it stacks, I use Apify alongside Bright Data for web research workflows.
I have never actually used another program like ReportMiner. Before I was just using PDF viewers such as Adobe that had OCR capabilities. I would have to select a range of numbers and copy and paste to Excel. It was tedious, slow, and sometimes error prone. I chose to learn ReportMiner because it saves me at least 4 times the amount of time I would have to use by copy and pasting.
I'm only personally experienced with UBot Studio and Scrapy. UBot Studio isn't a bad application, though it has quite a large number of bugs when compared to Mozenda. UBot touts itself as low-code, but requires a significant understanding of programming logic to use the program effectively. Using UBot, we were able to get virtually all the results we wanted, but at a much higher labor cost than Mozenda. During initial implementation of UBot, it took me a full week to develop a particularly complicated agent. Using Mozenda, I was able to recreate the same agent in 4 hours. The ROI has been remarkable, and Mozenda really is a low-code platform.
Efficient and automated data extraction. Saves time and resources.
User-friendly interface and good documentation. It is therefore easiest to learn and apply in a short time.
Documents, which have various formats of data tables or arrangement, needed a lot of manual fixing. So it required a lot of time for validation and quality control.
