SkyKick is a cloud migration solution, from ConnectWise since the late 2024 acquistion. It features cloud backup and cloud management features for control of customer access to cloud resources.
Before migrating to StorageCraft Cloud Backup, we used ShadowProtect for our organization and for our clients' backups. StorageCraft Cloud Backup is a strong and reliable product that has certainly been delivered when needed. However, moving to StorageCraft Cloud Backup has …
For migration purposes, we have chosen SkyKick over and over again. Their tool just works and does a great job with multiple different sources. Their support team is awesome albeit could be somewhat faster sometimes. Regarding cloud backup, it seems like that space is quite …
StorageCraft Cloud Backup is scalable and easy to deploy and manage the product. In my opinion, it's great for MSPs or for anyone managing multiple sites where keeping standards is a priority. Compared to using ShadowProtect and Image Manager, it requires a lot less manual work to maintain and keep running smoothly. However options and customization are more restricted so I wouldn't recommend it for non-standard environments, or scenarios where each agent needs a different configuration.
SkyKick does a great job on migrations to Office 365. Their technicians are very helpful in planning the whole process, and the tool itself is quite reliable and resilient. Their cloud backup works OK but it does not provide the most friendly or fastest recovery. It also sits on the expensive side as they charge separately for Exchange and Onedrive/Sharepoint backups.
I haven't used many others, but Acronis is one of them. Acronis seemed to break for me very easily, a problem I don't have with StorageCraft. I couldn't find Macrium in the list, but it also has given me issues that I don't have with StorageCraft. StorageCraft, as I said before, just works, and I don't have to worry about my data.
For migration purposes, we have chosen SkyKick over and over again. Their tool just works and does a great job with multiple different sources. Their support team is awesome albeit could be somewhat faster sometimes. Regarding cloud backup, it seems like that space is quite commoditized as every vendor offers the same. SkyKick does have some good promotions on migration costs when signing up for cloud backups as well which makes them more competitive than other vendors.
