Autodesk Construction Cloud vs. Premier Construction Software

Well Suited: Autodesk Construction Cloud is cost effective, user friendly, and robust. They aren't nickel and diming you for use of each module. Once users are on-board with the system it creates an ecosystem that all users "go to first" for an answer. Less Appropriate: As a Developer, there are some hiccups as it is designed more for the GC (general contractor). A template option that is Developer forward would an improvement.

Jonas is well suited for the construction industry and for trades that work in construction. The functionality and features are set up to streamline the processes that take place daily, weekly, and monthly. You are also able to manage the big picture and track your company's information for multiple years, making it a scalable software. Our administration and project managers can streamline work from the field to the office through Jonas and we feel that is one of the biggest benefits to Jonas

• Meeting Minutes: Simple to use and adapt from Agenda to Minutes, attach reference documents efficiently, and assign accountability to attendees.
• Budget/Cost Reporting: There is a learning curve, but the visibility of budgets and costs from inception to closeout is beneficial for the user and makes reporting to investors simple and consistent.
• Document Management: The version history on drawings "sheets" is very helpful when managing a project through design and construction. Issuing addenda, drawings, or tracking down a change in design is simple.
• Pay Applications/Change Order Workflow: the customizable workflows along with time stamps of reviews and response makes tracking down status and bottlenecks very easy.

• Jonas has features that make managing every aspect of a project possible. This eliminates the need for multiple software and makes all the information easily accessible for all departments.
• Jonas is constantly improving and adding new features to fit their customer's needs. The Sub Pay app is an example of this and has helped our workflow tremendously.

It is better than some platforms out there, but some significant issues hold it back. Reliability is not good, user setup is not intuitive, and the sheet viewer itself is very slow to load and change pages.

Using Premier Construction Software is intuitive. Most of the modules work the same way, so once you learn to use one, the others come easily.

The data mitigation is complete garbage. Any cloud collaborated model takes 2x to load in the Autodesk Construction Cloud environment that if it was saved locally or to on prem servers. We had our systems and bandwidth all evaluated to be applicable but the data downloads and sequencing through Desktop Connector leaves much to be desired.

Autodesk staff intervention often required to support IT when normal installs and direction was erroneous

Jonas Premier has some of the best support we've received in this business. Whenever there is an issue or question, we receive a response in a timely manner and get follow up as well. We have never had an issue getting something resolved and our feedback is always taken into account

Be prepared for nothing to work originally, and support staff to fight change and be cumbersome at properly learning how to use in my opinion.

Autodesk Construction Cloud Stacks up to all other applications very nicely. Much of my previous experience was with Autodesk products so the learning curve was not very steep. BIM 360 was our previous application used and Autodesk Construction Cloud provides all the same features plus many more. I am excited that Autodesk Construction Cloud is constantly developing and creating new features.
