I do not see where you would use this in any other scenarios. It's a purpose built system for sending and receiving data.

It is suitable for the scenarios that require more automation of the workloads in heterogeneous environments in order to reduce human errors and standardize the workflow.

Go Anywhere is perfect for moving data between systems. It is great for pulling data and emailing it or sending it to another server. However, Go Anywhere is limited as an ETL tool. It is not good for large datasets. When we had to move millions of rows from one server to another, it totally choked.

• If you use Axway SecureTransport with their edge server. The system separates your user accounts from the first point of entry into the system. This is done by creating an edge device in your DMZ that acts only as a proxy to the backend ST server.
• Their support has been really good when you have a questions or issues with the version you are on. They respond pretty quickly to your open cases.
• I also like the fact that their system can be really customizable. This does take a little bit of knowledge of how the system works. I did go to a 4 day class that Axway provided back in version 4.
• They support a wide range of security and automation when it comes to sending/receiving files.
• They have low CVE vulnerabilities and they keep up with the latest security holes that may arise.
• SecureTransport is a pretty solid platform and it's pretty hands off once it's up and running. We did have to tweak a few things regarding the memory allocated to the running services and there are a still few open bugs that are supposed to be released in the next SecureTransport. Those are not causing any issue on our side.
• You can create different templates for your HTTPS sites. This is useful if you have different needs for your customers.

• For an FTP server it is robust but very easy to use and configure.
• For a project manager for file transfers, it allows you to do nearly anything, from simple file move to file rename, move, zip, and create a new folder location to drop the file in.
• GoAnywhere has a gateway device that allows for securing the traffic coming from outside your network in without exposing too much of your network.

• I have come a cross several bugs that came up in their new releases, but this is kind of expected given they support a wide range of technologies in terms of B2B transfers or ad-hoc transfers.
• Support is sometimes difficult to communicate with just because of them being out of India. They are responsive and know their stuff when it comes to SecureTransport.

Since using it and having time to work with it, its process and actions are growing on me and once a project is created one can implement across numerous location or platforms

It is generally ok, meeting our requirements, and the support tickets are handled properly within the agreed SLA.

They would help us to identify the problem and provide a solution every time. Support also will answer questions about what the application can do and how, and it would allow you to submit enhancements requests for consideration to be included in future versions.

Implementation was straight forward. We paid for 50 hours of professional service in case, we need help. We end using only 10 hours. I have only 1 month to convert over 120 scripts from FTP voyager to goanywhere. Old script was had written using bat files. Some of the batch file were written by some other person, who passed away. Documents for old script was not in details. With the professional service, I was able to convert all script within windows

I have not used another product other than SecureTransport. I have only researched to see if there are any alternatives better. Frankly we just don't have the time to invest in switching either. SecureTransport does what it needs to do in our environment.

At the time we were evaluating a managed file transfer system, we initially looked at Ipswitch. It did not have a web based interface and the overall price was extremely higher than GA MFT. The solutions offered by GA MFT were significantly more attractive for our needs as an organization.

• Once the system is set up and operational, the only internal support would be to configure new accounts or research failed transmissions. It's really hands off once you have it up and running. It doesn't require a bunch of support or baby sitting.

• GA has made life easier for our employees. Many processes that used to take a lot of time are now automated or semi-automated using GA.
