Bizintel360 vs. Excel4apps

When a team needs to analyze fairly big data sets from multiple sources, without having a dedicated IT infrastructure (ETL etc.) and when the teams members have little or no knowledge of coding languages and data analysis algorithms.

We have to calculate most all Lab / Pilot / Proposals sizing and results. The automated calculations in [Excel4apps] is awesome, as once you are familiar with them, it is easy to quickly implement them when needed.

• Process large amount of data at rather high speed
• Cloud based solution that required no coding
• The dashboard UI is very intuitive

• Easy to install and maintain. After the initial installation, there is little involvement by the technical administrators.
• Cloning production to a test environment does not require any additional setups unlike Oracle EBS which does.
• Loading data and reporting on this data is handled via EXCEL spreadsheets which is the "language" of our financial users.

• The dashboard freezes sometimes when processing too much data
• Lack of Conversion Tracking when analyzing E-commerce data
• Lack of 2-factor authentication (security issue for some clients)

• It is possible but difficult to retrieve data or set criteria from different module into a single report or retrieve. If it is more user friendly instead of having to create a complex formula to retrieve the data, this function will be utilized more often.
• It will be nice to have visual (graphs, etc.) report template available
• It is helpful if we can retrieve data for a range of date, instead of just YTD, PTD etc. and multi-year data all at once for comparison too.

I think it is a great tool for teams that do not have access to a dedicated data analysis infrastructure, and/or do not have skilled human resources in that fields.

However there are E-commerce data analysis scenarios when Bizintel360 is not the best option (mainly conversion tracking), and the lack of 2-factor authentication might bring security issues with some clients.

Overall a very good tool for limited analysis scenarios.

I am not a power user of Excel. So I find Exel4apps a friendlier version of the things that I could do on Excel and making it easier with a magic wand.

The interface itself is very intuitive so we did not need much support when using it.

However the support team is very responsive and communicating by email was not an issue.

Google BigQuery is unbeatable in terms of processing power: it leverages Google infrastructure to process data without any limitation of data size or number of data sources. However the user interface is not intuitive, and most people need to undergo some kind of training from Google to be able to use it properly.

Bizintel360 is less performant in terms of processing power, but provides a very intuitive dashboard and beginner friendly functionalities making it very accessible and quick to master.

Excel4apps is more user friendly and can retrieve data much easier and in a nicer format than Jaspersoft. Qlik Sense is useful and have more visual reporting and dashboard. However, it is usually used for higher level of analyses and review. Yardi is used for specific purpose, which is different than Excel4apps. Excel4apps can pull all the financial data from Oracle, including billing and collections.
