Issues need to be escalated faster, and partner products need to be researched more extensively, for example SYSNCSORT had an issue with BMC AMI Ops Cloud which delayed the Restore of our ONE Pack system at the DR site. BMC support has been great working with the other vendor and getting us a fix to apply, to allow continuation of our restores at the DR Site.

Cons
BMC Software Inc.
  • Some of the data in java (or web) is presented in what looks like the original ISPF panels. Functional, but not pretty. Keep the same info but make it more presentable
  • More online help on field. Or expanded help
  • perhaps an option for fewer screens for novice users

Usability
BMC Software Inc.
Very user friendly, standardized UI is easy to use, even for a rookie systems programmer. Console management is setup nicely, Cloud integration is made easy (private & Public) Troubleshooting and setup was easy to accomplish. The UI does have a modern look and feel, and very much like other Cloud UI dashboards.
