Good scenario: Medium rooms with requires a good coverage of sound where people are located 3 meters far from the device works very good. Less appropriate: areas where using wired extension microphone are no allowed. This is could be a challenge if you have a table without holes to pass cabling through.

This is a great solution for video and audio conferences. One device to rule them all. So, if it is an office space meeting room setup, it's very good to use. On the other hand, if you are doing a meeting at a cafe or a coffee shop, it's not recommended as the speaker has a good range and clear sound quality. Everyone around you will be disturbed by your meeting then. In short, Jabra Speak Series 510 is for office setup in small or large meeting rooms. Also, I've seen that it's better to use it in a round shaped table rather than on a long rectangular table.

Cons
Cisco
  • Currently no video presentation on external HDMI screen

  • We felt that there should be a small remote control type thing that can give the user flexibility of not getting up to manage the Jabra Speak Series 510.
  • It seems like a longshot but Jabra Speak Series should come with it's own bluetooth and should not depend on a Jabra dongle. I know it's good to sell accessories but this is a suggestion that Jabra should think more about.
  • We are in south asia (Bangladesh) and getting after sales service here is tough. Jabra can look into it.
  • The speak needs to be splash resistant.

This product is well suited for the price. It brings a lot of sound quality for the audio conferences and also allows to join Webex Meetings direct through the device. The integration with Webex Calling is simple, you can set up the Cisco Room Phone within minutes using a 16 digit activation code.

The headset is intuitive and easy to use, with tactile buttons for volume, power, bluetooth, play/pause, ANC, and pass-through audio. It can connect via USB, bluetooth, or USB cable to a computer, and has a high-quality connection to the device, which can stretch up to 20 feet without issue.

We have not had any issues with the device, but expect support to be as good as Cisco always has been for us.

I've use a lot of the Webex Room devices and the Room Phone is a great transition for the traditional conference phone to a modern UI and platform with Control Hub integration. Like all the other major OS platforms out there, the push to unify the user interface has some real advantages and I think that Cisco is accomplishing that goal here.
