Norton Small Business

Norton is well suited for a company or organization looking to protect its own machines, laptops, and desktops on a daily basis. I would say it is quite well suited to small or medium or even large businesses wanting to protect their computers and systems from viruses, malware, or other threats out there.

Norton Small Business is a business antivirus solution. It does its job, and while it does add a few extra bells and whistles here and there, Norton has done well not to make the solution too cumbersome like some of the competition. The whole experience is simple and painless.

My only interaction with support was during the purchasing phase. We never really had any issues with the solution that required a call to support, but the interaction I did have was quick and painless. If this is anything to go by, I expect the customer support to be excellent.

I actually prefer Norton Small Business over Avast or any other product we have used in the past. Norton Small Business is easier to use, easier for our staff to operate and manage, and comes with a lower price point. Over all, we are much happier with Norton than other products

  • Reduction in IT operational costs

  • Data Protection is ensured which ensures positive focus from all team members on their work which certain results in improved productivity at the individual level of 2-4% that consequently improves organisational productivity.
  • Our cost of external inputs for data security issues is NIL therefore obviously reducing the bottomline by 1-2% which would be the average cost incurred by organisations of our size in general. Of course an event maybe costlier, but I am sticking to averages since we have had no events.
  • Overall, we feel that the cost of security software is also lower on account of optimised pricing by Symantec. While the expense in this segment is a fraction of total IT costs, and therefore tangible savings are also fractional. However, So, since the value of outcomes (lack of security related negative events) is much higher, intangible benefits are even higher.
