Cloudimage vs. Syndigo Content Experience Hub

This software is well-suited when images are hosted on your own server, but it is less well suited when requiring the "full package" such as manipulations, hosting, uploader, etc.

Well suited for quick setup and ease of use. Synidgo does not have the ability to maintain cross-references such as family items, accessories, replacement parts, and collections. Implementing and maintaining custom taxonomies is challenging and time-consuming, I prefer using an in-house PIM. Syndigo does have the ability to identify discrepancies that do not meet standards.

• Great world-wide CDN
• Excellent image quality with extensive processing options
• Competitive pricing with progressive tiers
• Good defaults but well organized interface to configure everything precisely

• Pricing.
• Intermittent Dashboard Issues.
• Image resize traunches. So 100px windows of resizing rather than pixel-perfect rescaling to save on cache size/delivery volume.

• Digital shelf analytics can provide more detail.
• No cross reference record.
• Unexplained errors causing syndication issues.

We have a single contact point, but CI has been immaculate with their support offering. Instantaneous and comprehensive.

We chose Cloudimage for the value for money, and the ability to link with our own hosting.

Similar offering to Salsify. I think Salsify has better digital shelf analytics. I think both do a good job rating overall content health at the SKU level. I think Syndigo has a more integrated API into various retailers and distributors. Both are quick and easy to set up and use. Syndigo does not have cross-reference ability.

• Same or lower cost as before and more possibilities than before
• Using a GDPR respecting, European (French) based company
• Using more features like watermarking, fallback image, precise 404 handling
