Chose CoderPad
We did use other option other than CoderPad. Before CoderPad we were using references for hiring but then again the whole process of assessment was not easy. It takes time. CoderPad came to our lives through a reference and since then it has somewhat changed the way we see …
Chose CoderPad
Coderpad provides many features which HackerRank doesn't, such as Candidate comparison, 24*7 customer support. It also provides integration with several other applications such as greenhouse, workable, Smartrecruiters, Linkedin Talent Hub, Prelude, Okta, etc. Also, It's free …
Chose CoderPad
There are some aspects of HackerRank and CodeSignal that I think CoderPad should consider. This is quite subjective, but coding in HackerRank or CodeSignal just feels much better and I have less issues with bracket creation/alignment in languages such as Java/C++. The coding …

Chose CodeSignal
We believe CodeSignal's ease of use and assessment customization make it the best product offering!
Chose CodeSignal
The pricing for CodeSignal was more in line with what our expectations for this product would be. We were also able to trial it out before buying and everyone on our team liked it. Lastly, it also came recommended from someone in our organization who had used it in a previous …
Chose CodeSignal
Hackerrank in general has more features as compared to CodeSignal although it does get heavy on the user using the platform unless you are accustomed to it. Although the platform in itself is more popular compared to CodeSignal. Personally I was introduced to hacker rank before …
Chose CodeSignal
I found CodeSignal's model for defining test cases to be more effective. Other products rely on console I/O which is very limiting, and adds complexity for candidates and interviews in parsing input and formatting output.
CodeSignal's interface of functions, with parameters and …
Chose CodeSignal
For me, the biggest difference between CodeSignal and other products is the questions set. The questions I was asked while using CodeSignal are way more related to what I would be doing on the job which I think is very important. It's annoying to do what basically amounts to a …
Chose CodeSignal
CodeSignal provides UI UX that is far more optimized than any other product on the market; the IDE itself has a multitude of options that aren’t available anywhere else. It functions as an end to end assessment system whereas the others are missing critical features that …
Chose CodeSignal
Codesignal and hacker rank are similar since they are both ways for employers to assess potential employees and applicants so they can understand who will be the best fit for the role, since they test coding abilities. I used code signal since Roblox required it and so I needed …

I've only ever used Leetcode and CodeSignal. Leetcode is better for learning while CodeSignals is better for actual practice after you have learned the basics from Leetcode.
Chose CodeSignal
I frankly really do not like remote desktop applications. They are slow and take a really long to join, ie have to find a computer and connect to VPN and among others. CodeSignal just works, which is why I prefer it.
Chose CodeSignal
CodeSignal's platform is the best in almost every aspect. It provides a nice user-friendly environment. The functionalities the environment provides are the best. It is a nice cheating-free platform that is very easy to understand and use. The scores provided are normalized and …
Chose CodeSignal
Both CodeSignal and HackerRank are popular platforms that offer coding challenges, assessments, and interview preparation for developers. Here are some key differences between the two and why I selected CodeSignal: Focus on assessment: While both platforms offer coding …
Chose CodeSignal
Codesignal stacks pretty well. The design of the product is clean and intuitive. I didn't choose Codesignal in particular. I'm only the user. I use it when companies send me coding tests on the platform. I think Codesignal is the best compared to these other platforms in …
Chose CodeSignal
We are still considering CodeSignal and haven't truly migrated to this. Hackerrank is still our preferred way of doing business due to its rich integration with our process. Additionally, its a familliar interface for most of our candidates hence CodeSignal still needs to go a …
Chose CodeSignal
Codesignal provides features like screen recording and monitors candidates while they take the assessments, thereby reducing the possibility of cheating during the assessment, which is a known problem with other providers like Hackerrank. Codesignal also provides predictive …
Chose CodeSignal
Code signal is much simpler on the eyes and while using than these products. Far more expensive and would take much longer to reach ROI than CodeSignal.
Chose CodeSignal
Hackerrank is better as it's just one or at max, two questions when asked by companies, whereas code-signal asks for 4 questions in a limited time. It helps you to complete the question and consider all its edge cases instead of jumping around multiple questions. This frequent …
Chose CodeSignal
I have selected code signal because it is easier to use and to evaluate my coding and my skills as well. Also, it improved my skills, and for my company, we use it to evaluate the candidates very extensively on the contrary of the other peers who don't offer like CodeSignal the …
Chose CodeSignal
I think codesignal has a more robust software set and tools than the competition I previously selected above. I believe that code signal is more comfortable for developers and gives them more tools to facilitate their assessment experience.
Chose CodeSignal
Currently we use CodeSignal only for conducting screening rounds of the candidate.

We were looking for tech guy (coder) for an idea and rather than going through the whole process of finding and hiring the people we opted for CoderPad. It did the job very well in filtering out people who were fit and not fit for our role. This way our time was saved.

I think code signal is one of the best platforms for organizations to better test the resource for their coding skills. Its way of conducting the test saves engineering time, reduces the risks that hiring companies have in technical interviews, and provides a cheating-free environment. The platform can be improved to make the new learners practice well on the platform and get used to it.

Pros
  • Option of proctored/unproctored assessment
  • Uniform structure of assessment
  • Variety of problem sets to choose from
Read full review
  • The test cases are quite well-written, and the grade we earn as a result of them is very fair. Users can use a unit testing tool to perform their own unit testing, allowing them to double-check their code before submitting it.
  • Intensive technical interview preparation
  • The online evaluation option is an excellent approach to assess candidates.
  • Simple UI for Simple Operations

Cons
  • Occasionally IDE parsing of code will mark correct code incorrect and will update late
  • Listing functions callable by a given object is sometimes slow
  • Could provide a small non-login required demo site for interviewees so they will be more used to the development environment before interviews

  • Random questions are useful for practicing, but I believe they should be separated into easy, medium, and difficult levels, with a random generator to assist new coders without demotivating them.
  • The interval between assessments is a little longer this time. It should, in my opinion, be decreased in a way that benefits everyone.
  • For the technical assessment round, there is no specific solution. I will not receive a solution if I am unable to solve that question during this time. At the end of the job, a suggestion generator can be used to solve the problem and understand the way of doing it.

The overall ease of use and selection does a good job for it. The focus on design and other aspects would be super helpful in reducing the cost overhead of hiring a new person. Even though we need to take interviews still the screening process is reduced drastically. A bit more UI focus would evolve Code Signal

Usability
CoderPad is incredibly easy to use, not much to note.

The UI of configuring CodeSignal for a non-technical screener can be tricky to navigate at first. Once you get the hang of the platform and how to master customization, it becomes a much smoother experience. However, some restrictions to search functions and reporting still need improvement.

I am not sure whether or not they have replaced but surely emerged as a big competitor. Their support system should be good knowing that they are in completion with the best hackerrank. I feel they could do a much better job but I have not used their support much
