Overall Satisfaction with CodeSignal
CodeSignal is great for initial screening for [side] roles. The questions are of [the] appropriate level, the plagiarism check is amazing and helps to screen out trustworthy candidates. Also, candidates do not need to give tests multiple times for different companies this makes it easier for them to apply and leads to a bigger pool of candidates to choose from.
- Vision and audio check to ensure trust.
- Multiple companies same test.
- Good level questions.
- One question of 4 seems too lengthy.
- Need functionality to allow candidates to search for syntax etc.
- Need a more detailed breakdown of how final score is calculated.

- Reliability
- Ease of use
- Better candidate pool to choose from.
- Highly trusted interview process.
- Convenience
Codesignal has much better proctoring than HackerRank. The user interface is also much better. The quality of the question is similar. However, the most advantage that codeSignal has is that it allows the candidate to use a single test across companies. This enables the candidate to apply easily. Hence there is a bigger and better pool of candidates!

Using CodeSignal
10 - Technology. Mostly developers and software engineers across front end back end and data science. Codesignal can also be used for internship hiring for tech. For business it is not much relevant. As it is a coding test it is mainly useful for developers. Data scientists also use it some times.
We do not have any people to support codesignal in house. It does not need too much support. People can individually manage their own need for code signal. It is easy to use and implement. No specialized support is needed. Bigger companies could probably afford to keep more people for support of the code signal platform.

Evaluating CodeSignal and Competitors
Yes - We used to use other coding platforms like hacker rank. However, we would not only have to set the questions but it was difficult for it to be proctored easily. With code signal's ai platform proctoring is a breeze. Also as we have a single test for multiple positions, there are a lot of candidates that apply now. Candidates have told us they love codesignal, so do we!
- Product Features
- Product Usability
The single most important factor in our decision was that the candidates we talked to seemed to love code signal. This was mainly due to the polished experience and the convenience of giving a single test. These days candidates need to apply to multiple places and code signal makes their life much easy. Frankly for hiring people any product which candidates love is a great asset.
We would definitely go candidate and interviewers opinion first. Many times the upper management is unaware of the day to day functioning of hiring and it definitely helps to get a grassroot level perspective. Talk to students, talk to interviewers, their insights and evaluation should form the major chunk of the evaluation process.
