Coderpad is the technical assessment platform that we use to hire new employees. The CoderPad assessments are given as part of the interview process. We use CodeSignal to assess the aptitude in programming skills from the CoderPad assessment score. As the score is generated on aspects such as the candidate's problem-solving ability and speed, the CoderPad assessment serves as a good measure to judge a candidate before that person is called for the next round of interviews.
  • Option of proctored/unproctored assessment
  • Uniform structure of assessment
  • Variety of problem sets to choose from
- To conduct a preliminary assessment round when there are multiple candidates to choose from. Helps you to filter out candidates on the basis of requirements. - The questions that are assigned for each test are different, so the probability of any two candidates getting the exact same questions is very less. -However, the questions are based on the same concepts so as to provide an equal ground to all the candidates.- However, if you have to choose from less number of candidates you are better off conducting normal interviews, as these tests are time-consuming for both interviewers and employers.
  • Question Pool
  • Data Structure and Algorithm based assessment
  • Report Generation
  • 10 working hours saved weekly which used to be spent on interviews
  • Approximately 3 employees worth of manpower is saved
  • The benefit of allowing assessment in multiple languages allowed the interviewee to concentrate on evaluation on the basis of underlying concepts
Coderpad provides many features which HackerRank doesn't, such as Candidate comparison, 24*7 customer support. It also provides integration with several other applications such as greenhouse, workable, Smartrecruiters, Linkedin Talent Hub, Prelude, Okta, etc. Also, It's free for candidates who want to gather credibility by putting up their scores on the profile.

We used CoderPad for hiring of some of the coders for our team. Initially hiring was a hectic process but with the help of CoderPad it became easy because of the automation in their hiring technology. Before using CoderPad we had to take manual interviews and make multiple processes to get people on board. A lot of time was put in finding the right candidate. It was way better now with CoderPad.
  • It is very simple to use. Any one can use it from our side.
  • We love how the transparency in hiring of coders.
  • Even the big Fortune companies use it for hiring.
We were looking for tech guy (coder) for an idea and rather than going through the whole process of finding and hiring the people we opted for CoderPad. It did the job very well in filtering out people who were fit and not fit for our role. This way our time was saved.
  • Easy to use
  • Scope of new joinees from anywhere in the world
  • Talents meets right place
  • Time saved is time earned
  • Anyone can manage it from our team
We did use other option other than CoderPad. Before CoderPad we were using references for hiring but then again the whole process of assessment was not easy. It takes time. CoderPad came to our lives through a reference and since then it has somewhat changed the way we see hiring.

As an end user. CoderPad is utilized by interviewers to host technical coding interviews. Generally it works quite well and gives users an environment to code in various languages.
  • Large range of supported languages
  • Code runs quickly
  • Allows for intractability between interviewer and interviewee
CoderPad is a nicer tool when it comes to hosting coding interviews. However, in many cases just using a voice call with screen sharing is sufficient, and spending $50/month by an individual doesn't seem like a good value. Or instead just using a simple program like Google Docs is enough.
  • Live code editing between multiple people
  • Built in drawing tool to give coders a way to plan out code/ideas
  • Ability to provide take-home projects
  • Simplifies interview process and helps field candidates better by seeing how they function in a coding environment
There are some aspects of HackerRank and CodeSignal that I think CoderPad should consider. This is quite subjective, but coding in HackerRank or CodeSignal just feels much better and I have less issues with bracket creation/alignment in languages such as Java/C++. The coding environment in these other products also do an overall better job of parsing and highlighting. CoderPad is more interactive though, and is the product for live interviews
CoderPad is incredibly easy to use, not much to note.
  • Interview Hosting
  • Coding
  • Inviting People
  • Voice and video is not as nice in a browser
