If you hire for IT or Software development based roles, I can absolutely recommend this. It will improve the quality of candidates you are filtering through in your process and you will be able to add stakeholders early into the hiring process to make it more efficient. Pricing is very reasonable too so its not out of reach for even smaller organizations. Generally speaking though, if you dont hire in bulk for Software Developers etc, then maybe its not for you.

I think it is well suited for K-12 schools, especially for tracking student growth over time. The ability to easily upload state assessment results and produce pre-built reports provides teachers actionable data. The online assessment system is more appropriate for secondary (grades 6-12) students in our district due to the types of assessments our elementary (K-5) students complete. I have some experience with other systems and think that the illuminate software offers more flexibility in the types of data that can be stored.

The test cases are quite well-written, and the grade we earn as a result of them is very fair. Users can use a unit testing tool to perform their own unit testing, allowing them to double-check their code before submitting it.

The platform should provide candidates with detailed feedback, allowing them to identify areas for improvement if necessary.
Furthermore, despite the fact that the assessment is complete, the platform prioritizes speed. In order to finish the assignment on time, people may be forced to forgo quality or desired output.
They should improve the question selection procedure, as some of the questions are too long to finish in the allocated time.

Tech support seemed good but our main issue was never resolved. We received attention and someone was working on our issue, but they could never figure out why our student count was off for 1 grade level even though they said our data looked great.
The customized reports were powerful, but there was so much to learn for the average administrative user, like a principal, to get the detailed data they need. You would have to have a dedicated person to create customized reports.
At some point, our representative just stopped calling and there was no further contact. Then our rep left the company and the new rep only sent one email notifying us of the change. That was almost a year ago.

I give it this rating because it is very easy to use. Not only that it is proctored and trusted. Moreover, the candidates find it easy to use given that it is a single test. This means that we get much more applications than using other platforms. This helps us to hire better faster and easier with codesignal.

The UI of configuring CodeSignal for a non-technical screener can be tricky to navigate at first. Once you get the hang of the platform and how to master customization, it becomes a much smoother experience. However, some restrictions to search functions and reporting still need improvement.

Illuminate DnA is a very usable system. A few items to learn and set up can be a bit time-consuming. However, once set up it is easy to use and powerful for a school that staff can master quickly. It has more features then we actually use but I hope we will over time.

I am not sure whether or not they have replaced but surely emerged as a big competitor. Their support system should be good knowing that they are in completion with the best hackerrank. I feel they could do a much better job but I have not used their support much

Our issue was never resolved so that we could use the software to produce accurate reports. Their tech department looked into the issue several times and could never figure out why our student was off and then they just closed the case. They confirmed we were performing the correct steps to load the data and they confirmed our data looked accurate. Great, but again why was our student count off?

It has clear details for every staff to understand the basic, and staffs can communicate efficiently to provide strong backgrounds. Also, the manager who provided this training has collaborated well with the Codesignal staff so that everyone could learn more about CodeSignal and look at it from different users' perspectives. So the training was really helpful

CodeSignal's platform is the best in almost every aspect. It provides a nice user-friendly environment. The functionalities the environment provides are the best. It is a nice cheating-free platform that is very easy to understand and use. The scores provided are normalized and the range of scores provided is really easy to understand.

Illuminate DnA offers more flexibility and additional features that our previous Data Director system offered. We were looking for a system that offered an online assessment portal and the ability to create elementary standard-based report cards when we selected the illuminate DnA software. We were impressed with the ability to easily create custom reports and liked the comprehensive student profile page.

It has been advantageous in terms of saving time for our interviewees due to its simpler approach.
