Chose CyberArk Workforce Identity
They are IAM tools that provide single sign-on access, allowing us to easily and securely access and integrate the software to the tool of our choice.
Chose CyberArk Workforce Identity
It's a more affordable option. That's the main reason why our team went with Centrify. From the admin side, its a really clean interface.

Chose CyberArk Workforce Identity
Centrify offered us more for our money by being more than just an SSO platform. There were several other features included such as MDM and MFA. This started other initiatives for us and felt the other solutions we evaluated would not have been able to provide.
Chose CyberArk Workforce Identity
We reviewed Okta and OneLogin while looking at Centrify for our ticketing solution SSO partner. When doing so we looked at it from the aspect of if we wanted to roll this out where we could see the use cases for it and initially it would be in a couple departments then branch …
Chose CyberArk Workforce Identity
Centrify provided both SSO support as well as Mac support; we needed both. Other products had one or the other, but not both.

This made choosing Centrify a no-brainer as we didn't have to have a wide variety of integrations to do and vendors to manage.
Chose CyberArk Workforce Identity
I think they are quite similar and don't have enough knowledge about one over another.
Chose CyberArk Workforce Identity
We selected Centrify for their breadth of services and their number of template applications which makes integrating an app a breeze.
Chose CyberArk Workforce Identity
Centrify was introduced to provide a secure, versatile and easy-to-use login experience, but it is still competiting against the other products that are in use within our company.
Chose CyberArk Workforce Identity
Seemed to be the best in breed and the one with deeper Mac integration on the short roadmap. As an Apple Distinguished School, this is obviously very critical to us. Very easy to set up and it has a deep pre-canned application pool for already deployed apps. Very easy for …
Chose CyberArk Workforce Identity

During our evaluation process, Centrify could show in the PoC that they are very flexible and open minded to our ideas. An application integration which was not part of the product catalog has been integrated for free. Furthermore the whole package compared to the …

Chose CyberArk Workforce Identity
Centrify's pricing was much better than their competitors. They also offered a better sign-in/multi-factor experience for our users when doing pilot testing. Their product also included other features like Mobile Device Management that was a nice add-on.
Chose CyberArk Workforce Identity
Quest seemed archaic and lacking in features when compared to Centrify.
Chose CyberArk Workforce Identity
Centrify was a quick roll out for us. The cost was comparable to other tools we looked at and Centrify had additional security options.
Chose CyberArk Workforce Identity
We evaluated Clever, even though it is free to schools, tech support was almost non-existent. It doesn’t integrate easily with Active Directory.
Chose CyberArk Workforce Identity
We started off using ADFS from Microsoft, which took most of a day to get fully functional and nearly a week to get fully optimized. The documentation was inconsistent with ADFS and there was no real support without opening a Microsoft Premier Support ticket. At the time, if …
Chose CyberArk Workforce Identity
We felt that Centrify had the most flexibility for the cost. They also have fairly robust mobile device management capabilities which some of the other products did not have.
Chose CyberArk Workforce Identity
Centrify provided mobile device management and identify access management from one pane of glass, and was less expensive.
Chose CyberArk Workforce Identity
Centrify offers many more features and much better control.
Chose CyberArk Workforce Identity
We selected Centrify over some of the other services out their because it gives us more options such as SSO and MDM all in one and for the most part it is easy to use not only for the administrator but also for the end user.
Chose CyberArk Workforce Identity
OneLogin and Okta provide similar experiences, but OneLogin is less mature than Centrify. Their Mac and Windows management suites are still in a beta phase are cannot be deployed en masse to our user base. Okta is more expensive and does not have the security compliance. …
Chose CyberArk Workforce Identity
Centrify was a much better fit for our organization size and a much simpler utility to manage.
Chose CyberArk Workforce Identity
I was previously a OneLogin customer and even though Centrify has a lot more features, I'd have to say that my experience with OneLogin versus Centrify has been a lot better overall.

Chose ManageEngine ADManager Plus
We didn't look at any other products because we are a ManagEngine ServiceDesk Plus shop and it was a natural fit.
Chose ManageEngine ADManager Plus
We decided to use ManageEngine ADManager Plus due to the compatibility it had with our systems. We run a hybrid environment and ManageEngine ADManager Plus was the system that fit into our infrastructure the best. It also provides the most opportunity for growth in the way we …
Chose ManageEngine ADManager Plus
We used NinjaOne in the past but I feel like it is trying to do too much. Whereas ManageEngine ADManager Plus is focused on managing Active Directory and staying in that lane, NinjaOne tries to incorporate all elements of IT into one platform, which makes it a mile wide but …
Chose ManageEngine ADManager Plus
I appreciate the reporting feature in ManageEngine ADManager Plus. With just a click, I can get reports that would take days with other tools, and ADManager gets it done in minutes. It's incredibly time-saving when I need to find out how many licensed users we have. It provides …
Chose ManageEngine ADManager Plus
It was incredible useful for those that I was able to onboard. Our small organization was not a good fit at the time, but I could absolutely see the value for a larger, distributed workforce.
Chose ManageEngine ADManager Plus
We've had ManageEngine ADManager Plus since I've been here. No other products were reviewed.
Chose ManageEngine ADManager Plus
We have not evaluated other products. We use several ManageEngine products and are very happy with them. The pricing is reasonable and support is very good.
Chose ManageEngine ADManager Plus
We have not used any other similar products.
Chose ManageEngine ADManager Plus
Between the price point and ease of implementing, it made it a no brainer. The product is a valuable asset.
Chose ManageEngine ADManager Plus
We did not research any other applications. ADManager Plus was the first that appeared in our search. After a demo with their sales team, it was apparent that this was the application we wanted. The price was perfect too. We ordered it right away and implemented it within a …
Chose ManageEngine ADManager Plus
As far as reporting, ADManager Plus is on par with these other companies, but you would need an additional module to get the exact same reports. The items that put this in front of the other companies is the ability to create users and make group/permission changes.
Chose ManageEngine ADManager Plus
My company already owned ADManager when I started with them. If I remember correctly, it was chosen because it is a fairly cheap tool and because we also use Manage Engine's Service Desk Plus application. ADManager's main competitor (in my eyes) would be PowerShell, now that I …
Chose ManageEngine ADManager Plus
We tried ADManager, and as we liked it so much we didn't try any other tools. We use the free trial and it just works for us.

Centrify Identity Service is well suited for nearly any organization, especially ones utilizing Active Directory for user management. It is especially well suited for organizations looking to reduce internal resource use, because it's easy to maintain and manage. Its features also allow you to free up resources previously dedicated to the provisioning and deprovisioning of Office 365/Salesforce users (as well as other applications).

The interface has really improved and modernized over the years. It integrates perfectly with Active Directory and can do just about anything you can imagine. It's speedy, too—large tasks don't take long at all. I've used this product for many, many years (over a decade) and have rarely needed support, but when I have reached out for assistance, they've been helpful. The price is fantastic for what you get. It can seem like a one-trick pony at first, but the more you use it, the more you realize what else you can do with it. ADManager Plus is chock-full of tools that you'd think Microsoft would include out of the box, but after 25+ years of Active Directory, it's clear they have no interest in doing so. ADManager Plus fills all the gaps left by Microsoft. Simple mass imports with automatic OU assignments, mass changes to existing accounts, etc. Some of this can be done through PowerShell, sure, but this makes it easy.

  • It is very good in the bulk user creation. With this tool, we can create a number of users in just a few minutes rather than following a long old process.
  • It is good for bulk user account modification. You can select a lot of users and make changes as per the requirements.
  • ManageEngine ADManager Plus is helping us a lot in the report generation of user accounts, passwords, groups, and other reports that are helping us a lot.
  • This tool also helps us with mailbox creation and shared mailbox creation

Cons
  • Occasionally, I get logged out of Gmail, sometimes in the middle of an email. I'm not sure why it happens, but I think it has something to do with timing out. Which is strange because I'm on email all day. Not sure why.

  • They need to improve their report in terms of modification, like you will not get a lot of customization options in the report.
  • In the password report if you are applying filter in Days since password last set and selecting the password change date from day 0 and again you want to select the Account status as Enable then you cannot do this.
  • If you have more than 1 domain and you are trying to modify users in both domains in a single attempt, you cannot do this.

Centrify is central to creating efficiency and safety for our clients and internally. To remove it would cause a massive disturbance in the lives of our employees and our clients.

Usability

It is very easy to use and provides so many functions we can do in Active Directory that's laid out in a nice UI. The bulk management and reporting features allows us to make changes and gather information from AD infinitely more effective that if we just used AD and PowerShell commands.

Support Rating
The support staff thus far has been very helpful. At times I feel they are driving the process forward without my intervention or constant reminder, which is nice to have in a company for a change. Most support seems to be a hassle but so far Centrify appears to treat your project as their own project.

This is one of their lacking points... Every time I have needed support the first thing they want to see is our log files. And then it can take days or weeks to hear back from them and sometimes you have to follow up yourself or they will just close your request. If you can actually get someone on the phone or a sessions scheduled to troubleshoot, sometimes you'll be lucky enough to solve your problem. We used to have a major new hire automation running in ADManager and it broke after updating the software. We went back and forth with them for a month or so and they were not able to resolve the issue, I ended up writing a PowerShell script and scheduling it to do the work that was being done before. This also allowed me to make the automation better than ADManager allowed.

We started off using ADFS from Microsoft, which took most of a day to get fully functional and nearly a week to get fully optimized. The documentation was inconsistent with ADFS and there was no real support without opening a Microsoft Premier Support ticket. At the time, if you turned on Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for Office 365, it turned it on for everything without any granularity. Our Information Security department said that MFA was a requirement for offsite access to our email systems, but users didn't need MFA when onsite. We looked at Okta, OneLogin, and Centrify at the same time. Centrify was the only one that responded quickly and offered a free POC with support included. We tried to deploy the Okta solution on our own, but ran into issues due to some of our non-standard AD configuration. We never received a return call from OneLogin. The Centrify POC took about 15 minutes to complete for basic functionality and a couple of hours to work out the issues related to our environment. We have been very happy with the Centrify solution and went live with our POC.

Return on Investment
  • CyberArk Workforce Identity provides secure access to on-premises and cloud applications. The platform is highly scalable and works well for companies of any size.
  • I can classify and label data. Also keep track of activity in shared applications and data, to know exactly who accesses each of the files.

  • The built-in reports and queries are invaluable. You simply won't have this information in a vanilla AD environment.
  • The ease that you can access the information you need about your environment is outstanding. You can access the information you need quickly so you can make better decisions on managing your business.
  • The ability to easily designate techs with limited access is great. This offloads menial administration duties from your higher level techs so your not paying high level folks to do redundant tasks.
