N/ACybereason EDR consolidates intelligence about each attack into a Malop (malicious operation), a contextualized view of the full narrative of an attack. Each Malop organizes the relevant attack data into an easy-to-read, interactive graphical interface, providing a complete timeline, the flow of the attack in the network, and any malicious communications. Remediation actions can be automated or accomplished remotely with a click. The Cybereason Defense Platform empowers analysts of all…N/A

I'd recommend Cybereason due to it's efficacy, low TCO, low false/positive rate. The product was easy to implement and maintain. One of the major advantages of using Cybereason is that it requires minimal training for level 1 users to use the tool.

Compliance to audits and HiTrust certification. It is key in ensuring that our audits are completed in a timely manner with no repeats of data requests and that we also are HiTrust certified at our organization. Personally while the data obfuscation is available I am not sure I would fully trust that the data is completely sanitized if need be. It's not against the Imperva product but more of issue of data being used.

Great for large enterprises 10k users or more and as part of defense in depth. Medium and small business you are better off looking for a cheaper UTM solution that does it all in one. It comes down to cost, are you willing to fund the cost of breaking out IPS functionality or moving towards a unified solution?

    • Tipping point had a very nice GUI interface that sat on top of snort rules. It was easy to access, had nice customization of dashboards and output to syslog for SIEM solutions.
    • It was easy to configure rule sets, allow groups or singular allow/blocks or white-listing.
    • Security rule sets could be tweaked up or down and allow/drops signatures could be configured to help increase performance.

    • Navigation of the menus can get confusing pretty quickly. Since there are so many, it is extremely easy to get lost. Almost too many options and data.
    • Configuring the agents can be very difficult if you are new to it. Having to save after every single change made to an agent during a configuration can be very tedious. Also having to make sure certain options are checked off in two separate places for a single option is very annoying.
    • Navigation of the menus is not always intuitive and not very obvious that the option you are looking change is located in that menu.

    • Biggest qualms I had with TippingPoint was that it was just a tad on the expensive side for what you get. Nowadays everything has gone UTM in firewalls and they do it all including IPS as part of the basic functionality so really, TP is losing a massive market share.
    • Don't see a future in the roadmap with so many other vendors getting onto the "unified" wagon and adding IPS as part of their service and at a cheaper price.

Cybereason provides superior protection than either Microsoft or CrowdStrike and a better TCO. We receive less false positives than with Microsoft Defender and Cybereason is easier for level 1 users to use.

    • Allowed us to meet important compliance requirements.
    • When protecting critical data, we can see exactly how it's being used and by whom.
    • Licensing costs are very reasonable.
    • It takes a fair amount of administration to use properly.
