Device42 vs. Flexera ONE

1. Installbase management feature allows us to retire our old spreadsheet methods for tracking the data in favour of a singular database with some excellent reporting.2. We are also providing data connectivity from the WAN Providers and keeping all connections in Device42 gives us the ability have documentation of all connection that are made. 3. Ever changing and growing inventory that needs to be carefully tracked and inventoried. We find this so simple to use that we spend much less time than we used to on tracking these items.

Well suited for single pane dashboard of all cloud spending breaking down to group, user, resource level. This allows ability to track down users who have abnormal usage. What is required from the customer's end is extensive time and resources to set the platform up and curate to their desired specifications. You need at least two people dedicated to managing this platform.

• UI/UX is not up to the standards.
• Can't mass update everything.
• No export option for the sub components that have changed linked to the device they are assigned to
• Plugins options are limited
• Sometimes randomly times out my login forcing me to log in again.

• Well this is very good tech to manage all the it work but still it has a lot of feature which sometimes feel complex to understand it properly.
• The initial setup is complex.
• Ongoing maintenance is difficult to handle.

1) the platform errors out - once clicking into report findings the platform does not redirect to the correct location. 2) the reporting is often outdated or incorrect. 3) policies have to be updated manually and updated very frequently - policies error out if they are not up to date. --- It came down to build versus buy. After two years of ROI not being visible, we decided to build inhouse. In a few months, we've replicated Flexera ONE's entire platform. This will be more regular and is highly suggested as you have full control over every automated policy being applied in AWS, Azure, and GCP. The dashboard/visibility is also easy as you can use Grafana or Omni to ingest the cost utilization data.

What I appreciate and love about Device42 is how everything links together from room layout,to server rack organisation,down to all VMs and Business applications. We are also able to get full value of our money and full visibility of our assets management process.

• We use it for the mass updates. Because of which we save lots of time
• It helps in making everything documented
• With this system you can get any information about the location of the device, connected cables, additional information and statuses.
