AgileBox by DevSamurai vs. TickTick

Well suited:

• Estimation of user stories in agile team.
• Recording the estimations and events directly to JIRA.
• Estimations can be done without leaving JIRA.
• Best suitable in this pandemic situation as most of the people are working remotely.
• Different estimation scales are present to adapt as per the team norms for example Fibonacci, T-shirt sizing and custom estimations as well.

Scenarios where it is less suitable:

• Where only inbuilt chat box from DevSamurai is used. So synchronization is an issue there.
• And apart from that a consistent internet connectivity is required.

Very well suited: 1. Small organizations and businesses ( 50, I don't think Ticktick is the best tool for that... Ticktick is excellent for keeping oneself accountable and on point with one's task. There should be an inherent sense of ownership from the user because an app can only do so much. It is not well suited for big organizations with more than 50 people, where visibility of stats is required on an admin or higher level. Plus, collaboration will become a lot clunkier as the number of team members increases. Knowledge management will also be an issue.

• Live chat box feature need to be improvised as it still not robust.
• Integration module should be flexible enough to stick with other workflow tools.

• The task reminders are in the form of a notification - it would be nice to have an email option.
• All tasks due on the same day/time show up as one notification versus separate - this can be hard to separate as far as task planning goes.

So far it accomplishes everything I need it to without unnecessary complications. The only reason I can think that I wouldn't renew is if I was required to use something else.

It is super simple in its set up and easy to learn to use. Many other apps are overly complicated which TickTick is not. It always depende on what features you are looking for but I did not even need to explain anything to those who struggle with newer technology

TickTick has a better UI and UX compared to the other competitors, and the Quick Add feature from any window is a must for inbox task management!

• Estimation of user stories and updating the JIRA is automated and hence resulted in reduced efforts in poker planning.
• No need to be present under same roof for estimation, and hence a flexibility which is much required in this scenario.
• Clients can have a clear and better picture of estimation at any time with all statistics and hence customer sees more transparency.

• Effective tracking of my time and tasks; made me understand the value of my time.
• Had a streak of 62 days straight where I didn't miss a single planned task.
• It has become a repository of all the dead tasks, projects, and ideas I can pick up whenever possible.
