eVoice vs. Intermedia Unite vs. Kamailio SIP Server

If you are looking for a strong product that is highly customizable, Onebox is a great choice. It can be difficult to navigate, but almost every feature you would need is included somewhere.

If you have seasonal workers, need to quickly scale, or cut contracts, [Intermedia] Unite is awesome. Highly recommend for companies that need an at home workspace.

Kamailio SIP Server is very well suited if you want to secure your main servers; it can perfectly act as a proxy server and a gateway to your main server. It also does load balancing and call transfers easily based on the configurations done.

• The scheduling is very granular, but the interface for setting up the schedule isn't the easiest to navigate.
• I would like the ability to copy or clone schedules. We have 3 different schedules on three different hunt groups and when there are changes to be made, I would like to be able to make the change on one schedule and copy that for another hunt group.
• The interface for the users to change some of their settings (password, phone, email, etc) isn't very user friendly. I usually have to walk users through changes, and at that point, it is easier for me to just make the changes myself.

The web interface takes a little getting used to, but once you are familiar, it is very easy to use and administrate. The end user has a very easy to use app.

Intermedia [Unite] support is top notch. Their response time is great and don't have a lot of issues.

I was not an employee when Onebox was selected, but I have used Avaya and Nortel PBXs in the past and while it is not as powerful, it has a lot of great features and a much lower cost of entry.

[Intermedia] Unite has no contracts and offers great service. Other companies require contracts, and for highly scalable businesses, this isn't optimal.

As Kamailio SIP Server is an open source, the major impact is on cost; it's free to use compared to any other Softswitch or server in the market. You can also customize it to your need and use the features that you need, which is one of the major plus points for the Kamailio SIP Server. And one server is enough to handle thousands of calls simultaneously.

• During offseason, we scaled back to 150 phones and during peak, we scaled up to 400 phones. No contracts, no fees, just month to month billing. Awesome
• Support and ease of deployment has been a huge ROI for [Intermedia] Unite.
